Cons

Comments about Conair Compact Hairsetter:

I know I shouldn't be complaining about this product, especially since it was so reasonable. However, the set takes FOREVER to heat up! The rollers are a good size, but, the clips seem to be a bit large for the size of the roller.

I use the hot curlers after my hair is dry following twice-weekly shampoos. My hair takes a curl fast, so I leave the curlers in 5 minutes.

        Comments about Conair Compact Hairsetter:

I wanted to try hot rollers as a gentler alternative to hot irons and to get a more vintage look. These are a good starter set, especially for the price. It took some practice getting the set right and getting the clips to hold my hair firmly, but overall fairly easy to use and easy on my hair. My hair is resistant to holding a curl, so I find these work the best with setting lotion and lots of hairspray.

        Comments about Conair Compact Hairsetter:

I wanted to try hot rollers because my hair has always had trouble keeping a curl with a curling iron. The first thing that interested me is that this set of hot rollers was very affordable so if I hated them it wouldn't break me. There is a bit of a learning curve to using the hot rollers, especially since I'd never used them before. However, once I got the hang of it, I found that my curls looked good for up to 3 days which exceeded my expectations for this product. With that said I must give this product 5 stars.

This product heats up & curls your hair like you want it to. You can leave the rollers in your hair while you are putting on make up & getting dressed & when it's time to take out, you can just
run figners through with out having to use comb or brush, & your hair looks great.

I was specifically looking for 1 1/4 inch rollers. The largest size in this set is 1 inch. The description needs to be corrected.

Wish designer of hair tool would engineer a good chord storage. There is no easy way to store chord. Has a lid that attached. Which is a good and bad thing. Even though it like your moms set (as says in advertisement) it made with very cheap material like all things modern. The clips are not actually metal but made out the a same stuff that the disposable plastic fork that are made to look foe silverware... But you are paying less than $20.oo so just letting you know why so cheap.

Since I use a flat iron at 400° to strighted my hair, I have found some hot rollers to cool to curl my hair. While I don't expect the hot rollers to be THAT hot (I couldn't touch them). I'm just wondering if you think these would work for me. I only plan on using them on the top layer to create some long loose curls.

The smaller the diameter of the roller, the tighter the curl. Rollers will curl most hair types.
