It did take me a couple tries to figure out how to use this correctly but after that it's easy to use. My hair is a mix of waves and curls, shoulder length, fine but medium thickness, and colored.

          this product is AWESOME!
It can get really hot, so I don't use the highest setting. I have curly hair which gets super frizzy if I don't style it. But the wand gives me gorgeous curls. Yes, if you do not know how to use a wand then it will be difficult to use....I suggest to just search it up on YouTube. There are great tutorials on this curling wand.

Comments about Conair Infiniti Curling Wand Styler:

I have thin wavyish hair and every time I attempt to use this product I can never get the curls to come out. My hair slides down the barrel and the curls do not come out no matter what I do. I tried doing it on second day hair, and still couldn't get it to work. Even after looking at tutorials online, I still can not work it. Product is not worth the money in my opinion.

Comments about Conair Infiniti Curling Wand Styler:

My long hair is thicker than thick and has a natural curly wave to it, but, unfortunately, it doesn't hold a curl as well as you would think (especially with curling irons with clips). I am so thankful for purchasing this product because it gives my hair an elegant curl and I can sleep with it and wake up to it still in great shape. Whenever I use this iron I usually keep my hair dry for a few days because I spent so much time making these beautiful curls that I like to keep them for as long as I can! Totally love this thing!

This curling iron creates nice spiral curls that can be stretched out to create a looser style. My hair is hard to curl so I use the highest setting. I get very nice curls that (with hairspray) last quite a while. Once you get the hang of it, it is very easy to use. I section my hair into four sections and wind 2 inch sections. You can have larger or smaller sections depending on the degree of curl/wave you want. Just be sure and use a heat protection spray. It works like a dream so why spend more.

It depends on what type of hair you have. Although this wand has a high heat of 400 degrees, if your hair is hard to curl and does not usually hold a curl, you will most likely need to use hair spray to help lock in the style.

I can't decide weather to get this wand ore the XL wand. Which one gives you both a tight and loose curl? What are the pros and cons of each?

                            A:

The XL wand gives a looser curl because it has a barrel size of 1-1/4" to 3/4 vs. the Curling Wand Styler that has a size of 1/2 in. to 1 in. The wands are pretty similar to each other, aside from the barrel size. The Curling Wand Styler does not have silicone strips on the barrel, while the XL version does. The silicone strips are used to help keep the hair in place when styling. Both wands use tourmaline, ceramic technology and have a high heat of 400 degrees. For tighter, bouncier curls, roll less hair. For looser, free flowing curls, roll more hair. The XL Wand gives more of a wavy look, while the Curling Wand styler would provide more of a curl.

Yes, the Infiniti Curling Wand styler is good for use on all hair types, as long as your hair is long enough to be curled. For thicker, harder to curl hair, you can use a higher heat temperature and hold the wand in your hair for a longer period of time.

The Conair Infiniti Curling Wand Styler uses tourmaline ceramic technology to help protect hair from damaging hot spots, reduce frizz and create soft, silky, curls. We understand your concern regarding thin, color treated hair and have included the Temperature Setting Guide below for reference. There are five LED temperature settings for every hair type:
                            o Power/Low 285F - Delicate, thin, easy-to-curl hair
                            o Medium 310F - Average-to-thick or treated hair
                            o Med-High 330F - Thick or wavy hair
                            o High/Max 360F - 400F - Hard-to-curl hair
                            • For best results, use a light styling product before blow-drying hair
o Take a 1" wide section of hair, starting 2" from the scalp
o Wind the section of hair around the thicker portion of the barrel towards the cool tip
o Hold the end of the hair in place at the cool tip for 5-8 seconds depending on hair type (5 seconds for thin/delicate hair and 8 seconds for thicker/harder to curl hair), and then release. No clamp allows you to easily curl hair without kinks.
o STYLING TIP: For tighter, bouncier curls, roll less hair. For loose, free flowing curls, roll more hair
o To "set" the curl, do not comb or brush hair until it cools
o Repeat process on additional sections of hair until you achieve the hair style you desire

Depending on how tightly you wrap your curls along the barrel, and if you use the smaller or larger end, you can control how tight or loose your curls are. We recommend viewing the demo video within the product details section to see how easy it is to use!

                            A:

For very fine and short hair, we recommend using a hot brush (such as Conair Infiniti 1-inch Tourmaline Ceramic Styling Brush, Item #: 2158274) or a curling iron with a clamp. You can use a 3/4" or 1" (such as Conair Infiniti Nano Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Iron 1", Item #: 2211073) barrel to get that added lift and volume. A hot air styler would also provide that added lift and volume. After curling your hair, let the curls cool to set before brushing through. You will get longer lasting results and more volume.

Yes, the barrel is coated in tourmaline ceramic for added shine and smoothness, and the iron features a powerful ceramic heater.
