I have very long, thick Asian hair and was sick of using my old dryer that took FOREVER to dry my hair and also made it frizz out. I had a 20% off coupon at Ulta so I went in and tried all of the hairdryers under $100 for how hot they could get and how strong the blast was. I chose this one and I am very happy with my purchase! Now I can dry my hair in about 10 minutes and don't need to use a flat iron! It has a very strong blast and gets hot enough. My hair is naturally straight but prone to frizz, but when I use this with the smaller attachment and a paddle brush it is perfectly smooth! Super happy with my purchase, this dryer is cute, functional, and well worth the money!

This dryer blows so hard that my hair gets all knotted up. I have thick, longer than shoulder length hair, and when I use this dryer my hair blows all over the place and tangles, even with the dryer on the lowest speed. Impossible to run a vent brush through it as I'm drying due to hair blowing all over and tangling in brush. Rolling hair around the round brush helps, but I think I'll be exchanging this for something with a little less power. I think it would work well on short hair- just not right for me.

I like this product. It is substantial, affordable and dries my hair quickly. My only complaint is the design of the switch to change the temperature.
Maybe it's just me, but the way I hold the dryer, my fingers slide over the switch while I am drying and change the temperature setting when I don't want it to change. All things considered this is a reasonable value, but I would recommend a friend to wait for the next model.
