I have tried basically everything to treat my hormonal acne. I have had moderate acne since age 12, and had kind of given up. Three months ago, I started using this cleanser as well as the Murad body spray, and while it's no miracle-cure and I have some blemishes, it's made my skin better than I ever could have hoped for. It's taken me from having around fifty blemishes scattered around my body to maybe six to ten, at most, and these only tiny, red bumps.
I do get little, itchy white bumps on my face now, but makeup covers them much more easily than it did my acne. Despite the bumps (and the price!), I would recommend this cleanser.

I have been searching for a cleanser like this for a long time! Not only has it cleared up most of my breakouts, it has also evened out my pink splotchy skin tone! Yeeesssssss! I read the spectacular reviews of Murad products and decided to try this out. Big mistake. I am 25 and have bad acne. I was using Clinique before, which was ok, but didn't clear me up as fast or as much as I wanted. This face wash did nothing for me except leave me with MORE pimples. I even got them on my chin and forehead - two places I NEVER get them. I would not recommend this to adults with hormonal acne at all.

I am 45 and had an outbreak of very weird acne. I'd used ProActive a few times a week for years to keep breakouts at bay, but this time, it did absolutely nothing but dry out my skin. Based on the good reviews here for Murad's Anti-aging Acne Cleanser, I decided to give it a try. After the first use, my skin was a bit better, and within 6 days, the breakout had cleared up completely. Also, this was much gentler on my skin. I have been using it twice a day but will go to once a day now that my skin is back to normal.

Every time I got my period, one or more awful cysts appeared on my otherwise spotless face resulting in scars that took months to heal. Murad itself was effective enough to control the hormonal imbalance and put an end to the cysts! I use it with an electric face brush nightly and couldn't be happier with the results.
