After reading several reviews on trimmers I decided to purchase this one. Great choice! I prefer a really close trim instead of a bald shave down there. I used the guard on the shortest setting and it trims the hair down to an 1/8 of an inch. The stubble it leaves is not scratchy at all. My husband loves the look and feel afterwards. The settings on the guard are great for first time trimmers with a large volume of hair. Start on setting 5 and work your way down to 1. Quick and easy to use with no nicks or snags. I would suggest reading the instructions prior to use for the best results. Would definitely recommend this product.

Good for quick trim. Does not have a close shave, but gets close enough to go over stragglers with a razor if neccessary.

I use this for my personal areas and I find it's the perfect size. It gives me a very close shave. Even though it's noisy, it's worth it.

Great for trimming either for pre-wax or just to keep things tidy. I have given up waxing because the pain and ingrown hairs. No complaints with this (have only used once). I used it on the shortest setting and it is very short. I also like it because I don't like the look of a full shave down there! It isn't going to make you hairless and will leave stubble. I was worried the stubble would be too scratchy but it wasn't at all.

This is a great shaver/trimmer. I was super surprised for the price. I have tried several Remington shavers, even some more expensive than this with terrible results. This shaver gives you no nicks and it shaves down the hairs to 1/8 of an inch! Several reviews have said it isn't a close enough shave with the head attachment on but any closer and all the hair would be shaved off. Make sure to read the instruction book because it tells you how to hold the shaver correctly for the best shave. You also can use the trimmer with the head attachment off. Definitely recommend this shaver to people who are either 1) not interested in being totally bare or 2) people who want to get the hair trimmed closer to either shave or wax the rest off.

I purchased this trimmer for use prior to shaving, as well as staying trim week to week. Many reviews rate this low because they say it doesn't get close enough. Well it's advertised as a trimmer and it does an excellent job at just that. The closest setting on the blade guard gets hairs down to about a quarter of an inch - perfect for pre-shave use and regular trimming maintenance.
