I believe this product is OKAY, it does leave it matte but only for a few days. I found it kind of pricey since it didn't really deliver the quality I had hoped for in an Essie product. If you do your nails like me, about twice a week, then I would recommend it but if you don't do them as often and want a longer lasting matte, then I don't recommend this product.

apply a thin coat. make sure you cover entire nail. looks really cool over dark colors

I have only used this product once so far, and I really loved it. I used it over a mini Opi color that had two coats, no base coat. I painted the top coat hurriedly and it looked fabulous. So neat! I bought the Essie brand, frankly bc it was $6 cheaper, and Ulta no longer lets you use coupons on OPI (dumb), and it's awesome! Applied very easily, didn't take the nail color. I don't know how protective this top coat actually is, my polish only really lasted about three days before the chipping kicked in. Only downfall! I do recommend though!

This product works well the first couple of days, but after 2 days the matte top finish wears off.

You can make any polish a matte, cool product for doing nails half matte & shiny tip.

It works, two to three coats will do you. But let it dry! even though it looks dry give it the full 20 min to truly set. My favorite thing to do is put it over a medium red for a soft frosted look or over a fine glitter polish for a suede affect. It will chip because it is lacking that no chip ingredient that glossy top coats have. Not a flaw in design just a result of the matte effect. A couple days in add an extra coat as it does get a tad shiny as the week goes on. I'd say about a 4-5 day wear. I always get compliments when I matte out my nails, ultra chic!

While it does dry fast, however it chips too easily..but it was nice while it lasted, it was a rather fun trend to follow, but maybe a different brand...
