Comments about Blow Pro Faux Dry - Dry Shampoo:

Best dry shampoo I have ever tried. Whenever I need this, it always does magic. I used to work at a bike shop and by the end of the day by hair felt greasy, and if I went out at night I didn't want to have to wash my hair again when I just did in the morning! I use this, and it does the job. No more greasyness!! Also, I use it for emergencies. Perfect example is when I moved into my apartment and they said they would turn on the water but never did! Couldn't shower that night, so used the Faux dry shampoo in the morning. My brother used it too and he said it's amazing. Will definitely repurchase

    Paraben-free??

    By ChroniclesofaDime

Comments about Blow Pro Faux Dry - Dry Shampoo:

First off I'm giving this product a perfect rating because I do love it; I can go 2-3 days without washing because it really does make it look clean. I usually put some in my hair before I shower, fluff it up a bit with my fingers, and then let it do its thing while I shower with a shower cap on. Then I get out of the shower, lightly blow dry my hair to restyle and dry the hair on the nape of my neck (which gets a bit wet in the shower sometimes). I find that this method helps reduce the ashiness inherent with a powder based product. I also use orchid oil on the ends which helps my hair smell nice!

What's confusing is this product is advertised as Paraben-free but the listed ingredients on the Ulta website include methylparaben and Propylparaben (although they're not listed on the bottle). Sooo not certain why there would be a discrepancy, and it's somewhat concerning, but it works well enough that I'm fine overlooking it.

I use this every day, even after I wash my hair when it dries, it keeps the oil from coming so fast and gives it some body, I have straight, thin hair that gets greasy the next day after washing, and this product let's me wait until 3rd day to wash!

Comments about Blow Pro Faux Dry - Dry Shampoo:

This is, hands down, one of the best dry shampoos on the market. It is made up of more gentle ingredients than your average aerosol butane dry shampoo. And works better too! It sprays evenly and sufficiently with little to no clogs. I love this product!

Occasionally it's hard to get out of the bottle evenly. But overall it works very well for oil reduction or a quick. Volume touch up.

Comments about Blow Pro Faux Dry - Dry Shampoo:

Ok so, for the longest time I have been an everyday hair washer. I know it's hard on my hair, but I just couldn't find a dry shampoo that actually worked. I tried Tresemme, Dove, Lush, Serge Normant, baby powder *sigh*. A lot of dry shampoos are really just over perfumed aerosol texturizers calling themselves shampoos. Anything aerosol made my hair look ok for about an hour then way way worse than even normal 2nd day grease would. They are alcohol filled and quite heavy/drying. I'm not sure it's really the formula of this Blow Pro that is great (it's mainly Zea Mays aka corn starch). This is the same main ingredient in most organic baby powders, Lush's No Drought AND you can just buy it at the grocery store. However it's the container that makes this particular product great. The bottle on Lush's was HORRENDOUS. Way hard to shake a small amount out onto just your roots, I ran into this problem with the typical baby powder shaker too.
I've heard complaints that white powder shampoos make hair chalky and grey. That is because way too much is being used. I didn't realize how little powder you needed until I tried this Blow Pro Dry Shampoo. The little puffer is awesome. It takes a couple puffs to get the powder inside the bottle airborne, then it puffs out the perfect amount to absorb oil and not leave you grey. I use this mainly on my full bangs. I comb them with water, restyle with a blow drier then lift the top layer of hair and puff this dry shampoo at the roots. I then lift all the hair off my face and puff this again at the roots against my forehead. This keeps my bangs grease and piece free ALL DAY. It doesn't perform miracles and make you look 100% fresh showered, but it sure keeps the greasy scalp at bay.

I think the product could work, however the method of application that the product uses is not great. You have to shake the bottle, then turn the top to open. This reveals a small hole. You then are supposed to squeeze the bottle which in theory is supposed to release the hair powder in a cloud like manor. The problem with the actual design of the bottle is that when you squeeze lightly, little to no product comes out. If you squeeze the bottle harder a streak of white powder comes out. At that point it is nearly impossible to massage the powder in enough to camouflage the white and if you have dark hair you will have white streaks visible in your hair.

Comments about Blow Pro Faux Dry - Dry Shampoo:

Let me just say that I bought this dry shampoo about 3 years ago when I was on the hunt for something that would be that miracle product that would allow me to become the girl who could wash her hair every other day. I've ALWAYS been an everyday hair washer and realize that is horrible for your hair, but I just didn't feel clean unless I washed my hair each morning.

This past December, I decided I was going to "train" my hair to go every other day for shampoos. I had to deal on the off days when my hair felt more greasy, but I went through dry shampoos trying a bunch of different ones before I decided to come back to this one that I had kept in my cabinet since 3 years ago.

The other dry shampoos I had tried during this period (Garnier, Batiste, Tresseme, Suave, etc) were good. They had good smells, seemed to absorb some oil, etc, but for some reason the aerosol sprays that kind of wet your hair a little bit seemed to make my hair a bit more flat throughout the day. I had heard that some girls like to use baby powder which works better than aerosol dry shampoo, but I can't stand the scent of baby powder. Then I remembered I had this product! I remembered that it was kind of expensive, but that it had good reviews.

IT IS AMAZING. I first of all love the application process. You just squeeze the bottle and "poof" the completely odorless powder onto your roots. I section my hair off and make sure to do it every inch or so of hair, but never right around the hair where my part is. Since it is a powder, it can leave your hair looking a little dull, but not if you don't do the hair that is on top (do a few layers below that if that makes sense and it has the same effect to absorb oil and make your hair look fresh again). I like to do it at bedtime, throw my hair up in a bun and when i wake up in the morning, i will massage the powder into my scalp with my fingers and then brush it through and voiila! "Clean" looking hair!

I have FINALLY found a dry shampoo that has allowed me to wash my hair every other day. And for the price (esp if you get it with a coupon) it is an AMAZING deal. It will last me probably 6 months with using it every other day. Those other aerosol cans of dry shampoo seem to have very little product and would probably only last me <1 month with the same use, with not as great results.

Give this product a try! the worst that can happen is you don't like it and can return it!
