The low ratings for this product are mostly from those who don't understand it's use. This is a "reverse" lipliner. You line the OUTSIDE of your lips-especially the 'cupid bow'. Then, using your finger, you blend outwards. What this does is give the illusion of fuller lips. This liner is spectacular with glosses, especially. It's great with lipsticks-but I can't comment about how it is with matte lipsticks, as I have never tried it. I normally wear gloss, and only sometimes a shimmering type. I have been using this liner for years, and hope to never go without. E.L.F. makes a dual-liner similar to this for dirt cheap. One end is this type liner, the other is a definer. It works almost as well, and has a sharpener lid...but it is thick in size. To make sure your line is precise you have to constantly sharpen. Cargo's is much better all the way around ;)

This product is great to line the outer lip area, then blend with finger up and out. Then colored lip liner, lipstick, gloss, ready to go. Keeps lipstick and gloss from feathering up over lipline. Used this, and then bought another brand, and back to this one. A keeper. Never stray again. Love it!!

I went to Ulta to find a lip gloss because lipsticks on my "mature" lips tend to bleed. The Ulta representative suggested that I get this product because it would prevent my lipstick from bleeding. Well, it didn't work. I believe that the bleeding was actually worse after using it. Also, it was flaky when I applied it. I returned it with no questions asked.

Must need for every girl. I came upon this at Ulta and needed to try it since I've never thought of this type of application to lips. I have very full lips so my lip liner start to run a little through the day making the edges looks greasy and not perfect as it looks in the morning when applied. Wore this today for the first time and much shopping through the day, lips or the outter part of lips looks perfect. Hope results last.

I was a little apprehensive about this product because I've only used colorless ones before and I wasn't sure how one with pigment would appear on my skin. I was afraid it would look too obvious and phony. Well, I'm happy to report that it looks great! It blends well into the skin and really makes the lip color pop. Also helps with the feathering/bleeding of lipstick going into the creases of the skin, which is the main reason I tried it.
