I bought this item yesterday on a whim that it would work. The guy at Ulta in Hoover, AL was super helpful once I told him my price range. He also noticed my natural hair state was curly and thick and suggested this one first and almost only... he did point out other cheaper irons but for my hair type he encouraged this brand and the one with pulse technology. The buttons on mine are inside the flat iron below the plates so it doesnt get in the way of curling or accidentally changing heat settings. I have a Chi as well and I love it but hate that the temp. often gets changed by my hand rubbing across it. This iron also gets my hair straight without having to repress certain parts. I LOVE IT

My hair stylist recommended a titanium flat iron. I had been using the Remington Pearl for a couple years. I bought a new one every year because the ceramic finish wore off, but they were cheap so I did not mind. I can not say that this one works any better. I am hoping it will last longer than a year. The button is in an awkward spot on the top right where my thumb holds it. With a little adjustment to my grip I have managed not to turn it off since you have to hold it for 3-5 seconds until it turns off.Overall it does a great job and it is PINK!

I love this flat iron. I've had it for over two years and its still holding up.I purchased it on sale from ULTA but I would even pay full price now that I know how amazing it is! I have thick African American hair and it works perfectly for me. Goes up to 450 degrees but works for me at 375. You will not regret this purchase!

Not sure about the digital setting as I do keep pressing the button while straightening which can change the heat setting. Maybe it is in a bad position but overall I really like the iron for the price. I have thick hair that is naturally "wavey" and it straighteners it great!
