Smells nice, but dried me out...

I just tried this today for the first time. I have very normal skin, never react to anything by getting red or breaking out. I followed instructions and immediately after washing off my skin is bright red and blotchy, and feels extremely dry! Very odd for something that advertises moisture and that its calm? I might give it another try depending on when the redness calms down, if it lasts its going in the garbage.
