I have had this flat iron for a year and I have been absolutely in love with it. No other flat iron can compare. It can be used for both straightening and curling. Unfortunately, one of the plates has stopped heating up and considering the price, I never expected that it would go out so quickly. I did not keep the receipt (stupid me for thinking I was paying for quality) so I am unable to return it to Ulta or Sedu even though I am still under warranty.
Very disappointed. I will not be buying this product again.

I purchased my original Sedu a little over 2 years ago. In those 2 years I have had 2, yes 2, replacements. Same issue every time: one of the plates would stop getting hot. My 2nd replacement just went out, and I am 43 days past my original 2 warranty. Despite only having my current iron for only 6 months, Ulta denied another replacement.
I really want to love this flat iron because when it works, it works! My hair gets straight so quick, and it stays straight all day. I have used other brands in the past, and while they didnt get my hair quite as straight and shiny, they lasted me 5-6 years. For the price tag on the Sedu, I expect it to last just as long. Needless to say, I will not be purchasing another one.

The very first time i used this iron i was blown away by the results. My hair looked like i just left the salon. The next day at work i received numerous compliments. I am african american and have naturally curly/fine to medium textured hair. The iron does appear to feel "light" like its not doing anything but it straightens well. I will point out that you have to do at least 2-3 swipes over your hair if you hair is not naturally straight. The results last even in humid climates, but i also use humidity resistant products to help with that so i don't think the iron by itself prevents frizz. Gives really good natural looking shine.

I flat iron my hair everyday . I love this straightener because it has different heat settings. I do keratin treatments on my hair which requires a 450 degree flat iron and it works great! I feel it is worth the money. I've always used chi products but so far I like this better

I've used tons of straightener over the years and so far this one seems to be the best. I've had straightener in the past that have made my hair smell like burnt hair, that have caused my hair to break, and created massive amounts of frizz... This one seems to be great thus far, it gets the job done fast and my hair is much smoother. I don't think I'd ever get a straighter from target again this one is worth the extra 100 bucks or so.
