A topical gel treatment to combat breakouts. This 5% Benzoyl Peroxide concentrate, fortified with Alginated Zinc Triplex and soothing botanicals, helps accelerate blemish clearing. Contains no artificial fragrance or color. Professional recommendation advised.

- Benzoyl Peroxide eliminates bacteria in the skin follicles, helping to clear blemishes and prevent future breakouts.

This helped with bringing down inflammation on big "mountain" type problem areas. BUT you need to be sure to use with caution!!! I used this as directed and it makes the top layers of skin peel off. It ultimately reduces the size of a problem area but you are then left dealing with dry, scaly peeling skin. Also, if you over use the product it leaves skin irritated and peeling for weeks.

I purchased this about 5 years ago. I do not break out often but when I do, I place one drop directly on the pimple for a couple of days and the pimple is gone. It does dry the skin, so only apply directly on the pimple. Lasted me years and worked effectivly!

I was very hesitant to buy this because of the hefty price tag... but I told myself that this brand has a good reputation for a reason. I suffer from hormonal breakouts a few times a month, and also from weather changes, and stress. I bought this right after a menstrual breakout and after a few days I really noticed that it was drying out the affected area really well. I use a pretty heavy moisturizer so it really didnt bother me. I use this nightly now as a spot treatment and it really does clear everything up. Just make sure you use a good moisturizer.

Ever since I hit menopause my skin has broken out on my chin and my forehead. My dermatologist tried every topical treatment she could and nothing worked, or, if it did work, the effects were temporary. The last time I was at Ulta, I picked up the Dermalogica booster and it works great! The congestion on my forehead is nearly gone and the stubborn acne on my chin is too. You only need a little bit at a time (I use it once a day) so don't let the price deter you.
