I was surprised at the begining cause it was so soft and colorful and easy to apply but after a couple of weeks it turned hard like a piece of rubber tire, the brush is a little too hard and thick.

I am on a quest for a great black eyeliner, and this one comes pretty close. I had been using Urban Decay's black liner ('Zero') but found that it smudged a bit by the end of the day. I purchased the HIP color in black, and so far, so good! Color is nice and rich (not greyish at all) and the liner is soft and easy to apply. I used my own slanted eyeliner brush, and applied to both my upper and lower lash line. I would like to try this on the water line, but am not sure if that will work or not. (So if you are looking for a black color for the waterline, I am not sure if this is the one for you.) The texture is much softer than what I was expecting as I am used to Smashbox's cream eyeliners that are a bit denser. The L'Oreal cream eyeliner is very soft, so use caution when you dip your brush in for the first time. I was expecting more resistance from the gel, but it was super soft.

First off, I DO NOT recommend you use the brush. Its bristles are very rough. Purchase your own eyeliner brush!
Anyways, these have been sold out in every store I've checked! And I understand why!
This eyeliner does not smudge whatsoever. I've tested it out by drawing a line on my hand and rubbing it with immense pressure and it still looked as perfect as I had applied it! The only time that it smudges is at your inner corners when your eyes are watery, which is to be expected. The color is so rich and bold, true to how it looks in the pot! Waterproof to tears, so no worries in physics class when you get sleepy. I wore this all day to an outdoor birthday party and it lasted over 12 hours! It looked exactly the same as when I had applied it. I've had it for a few weeks and it hasn't dried out on me at all. I even accidentally left it open for 9 hours and it was still very creamy.

This creme is very pigmented. It applies nicely and does not seem to clump, run, or smear. My only complaint is that the brighter colors need to be applied more densely; I do not find the included brush valuable, I use my own.

I have the black-I was tired of the black eyeliners that look grey! so I googled the best black eyeliner and this was the most talked about, tried it and I love it! I tell everyone about it.
The brush it comes with DO NOT bother with it, its real stiff and hurts-no point for all that. any liner brush will work i even dipped a sponge applicator in, it worked fine.
Its like tar-in-a-jar, or like mascara as an eyeliner! you cant get any blacker than this! there is no way you could use just one jar in a lifetime haha the littlest bit blends perfectly for a soft bold look. I want to get the brown one next. HIGHLY recommended!!!!!!! your eyes will pop.

the best eyeliner ive ever used! i usually wear pencil or liquid...but this gel like liner is WAY better....i love how it glides on...stays on all day! love this product!

This was the first cream liner I ever purchased and I have to say I was disappointed. I usually use a liquid liner that works much better. I don't know if it was the brush the liner came with, but it was difficult to apply a thin line and really hurt my eyes.

I've had a hard time in the past applying eyeliner because I can't keep my eyes still long enough to apply eyeliner but this goes on easy and smooth and doesnt require a lot of pressure to apply. Definitely recommend it!
