Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover:

Assumed this would help take out the purple I applied to my hair. I was very wrong, it took out all the red tones, and left my hair a blue-green. So just a warning.

I used this to remove greenish blue color from my dark blond hair. It lightened it to a pail green but gave me a reddish blond all over. And 10 washes later my head still smells and my scalp is tingly. how do I get the smell to go away??

I have such thick thick full curly hair and this was amazing. it didn't harm my hair a bit. my hair went from jet midnight black to an auburn. my hair is naturally darkest brown with auburn highlights. I wouldn't expect it to bring your hair back to the exact same way it was because its not going to happen but I'm completely satisfied with the results, I love it

I am naturally prematurely white haired but I color it blonde and recently had my hair demi colored with gray. It started looking sad so I used Oops. I didn't realize it would only take me back to blonde. It was a banana colored blonde and my roots were white. I then colored it Lightest Ash Blonde. Then my hair was yellow, gray and lavender roots. Ugh. I got advice that all seemed confusing. I tried a darker ash blonde and got darker lavender, blonde and gray. I hate it so much I wish I had never used Oops. I do not recommend it if you want to be light or if you have white hair that's been colored. I am so bummed! Especially since this is the longest my hair has been since 2007.

Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover:

I used this product earlier today and when I did my research I always found that others used it on permanent hair color. So since I used semi-permanent I figured I'll do a review to help those who couldn't find a good source either. I naturally have blonde hair and recently began dying it about three years ago because of high school stereotypes that blondes are mean or stupid. So I dyed my hair dark brown and have continued it about every 7-8 months. But recently I've missed my blonde hair and wanted a corrector without bleaching or lightening. So I did my research and used Color Oops. Now there are two disclaimers. 1) my family has the darkening blonde gene which means as you grow up your hair turns from platinum blonde to dirty blonde, ash brown, or dark brown. So I'm not entirely sure what my natural hair looks like now. 2) my mother was afraid if she applied the product that my hair would turn orange so I had my friend apply it at her house and they have a strict water limit so I was only able to shower for 20 minutes. In which I rinsed my hair for about 15 and was only able to apply shampoo once for a minute or two instead of the recommended twice for five minutes each. But I am very happy with the results. Would I like it to be lighter? Yes. Did me not doing following the instructions right have an effect on my results? Probably. But my hair now is multiple shades of blonde, Carmel, and dark chocolate which makes a good combination and I love it. I am however considering doing a second treatment since I want blonde not brown. Since this is semi-permanent, it does not contain oxidative dyes so applying this will not turn your hair blonde, orange, etc like with permanent dye. I also applied it to my friends hair who used permanent red/orange dye. Then applied brown about 3 months ago. She had the same amount of time I did, and her hair was kissed by the sun! It was that blonde!

Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover:

I used this to remove old brown dye from my strawberry blonde hair. Since I applied dye to my hair twice I knew I would need to use this product twice. After the second time I was left with my almost natural hair color but I wanted to go blonde. Big mistake. They weren't kidding when they said that dye sets quickly. I bought the second lightest blonde and left it on my hair for 2.5 minutes. Not 25, 2.5 color oops recommends no more than 5 and I thought I would be fine if I was cautious. Nope, my hair turned this AWFUL shade of brown. So I ran back to the store and bought another box of oops. I was afraid after all my hair had been through over the last 2 days that it wouldn't be able to take it. I also bought a packet of deep conditioner. After a very long 20 minutes of washing I went to check out my results. My hair was now slightly lighter than before I put blonde in (which was the effect I was looking for!) and I was thrilled. There was very little damage to my hair and after leaving deep conditioner in my hair for about an hour, you would never know what I had just put it through. This isn't my first time using oops, but it was my first dying my hair immediately after use. So my advice would be to give your hair some time before redying if you can. Follow directions. This product can work miracles. The smell was gone after I using leave in conditioner also! I only paid about 2 dollars for it and my hair is definitely thanking me!

I've been so indecisive lately about my color. I'm a natural blonde, and I decided to go brown again. It turned out WAY darker than I wanted. The July 1st pic was before I colored it, July 2nd was the color. July 3rd was me doing the Dawn dish Soap, Vitamin C pills crushed and the head and shoulders method and the July 6th was right after I used the Color Oops. It worked WONDERS! Very impressed. I actually haven't done any color to it yet either!

Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover:

I colored my hair black again after having it dark red for about a year. Biggest mistake, I loved it for about 3 weeks then I hated it. I heard about color oops from a friend and decided to give it a try. It took all the black from my hair in 15 mins. I've been coloring my hair for years so it is now a bright strawberry blonde but I figured I would tone it in the morning to remove some of the brightness. Also, the smell isn't that bad, it is pretty tolerable. It just a very strong smell.

Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover:

I have naturally light blonde hair and have never colored it a day in my life but one day I decided I wanted to dye the underneath of it a different color. I ended up dying it jet black. A little over a month and a half I decided I didn't want it anymore. Just a few pieces started fading dark brown and it had grown out an inch or two. So I went to the store looking for anything took fix it, I researched about it because I didn't want to mess up my hair and found this. I read a few reviews on it, there were good reviews along with bad ones but I tried it anyways. I bought one box and used all of it on the underneath of my hair, followed instructions, blah blah blah. When I rinsed it out, it was pretty much my natural hair color only a little darker with a red tint ( my hair normally has a red tint to it). I was honestly surprised at how well it took jet black out of my blonde hair so well. I would definitely recommend this to anyone, you just may need to use it more than once to get all of the color out. And it doesn't have a pleasant smell!

Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover:

First off, I usually don't write reviews for many products, but this one deserves a review. Before purchasing Color Oops, I read reviews. And a lot of them. While some were good and others were not so good, I had mixed feelings on whether or not I should purchase this product and use it in my hair. I'm such a wimp when it comes to dying my hair or doing anything drastic at home to it, because I always fear the worst. I was worried about my hair coming out a weird or orange color after using this but, no worries, because it didn't.

About a year ago, I went from my natural blonde to a brown highlights with red highlights (although I didn't as for the red, my hair person decide to just throw some in there anyways). I didn't want the red anymore, so I went back a few months later and went totally brunette. But the red was still showing! After both of these colors somewhat faded and I decided I wanted to be blonde again, I made a trip back to the salon. I walked out with a strawberry blonde color, and the roots of my hair being ultra blonde! Not worth the 75 dollars I paid. I waited a month and decided to try to fix the color myself at home. A daring step for me. I purchased Color Oops extra strength and a box of light ash blonde hair dye.

I followed the directions exactly according to the box of Color Oops, and although my hair felt dry shampooing and washing it out for twenty minutes, in the end it was fine. I let it air dry and finished it off with a blow dryer, and although it didn't return me to a full blonde, it lifted the red out of my hair and there was no more red tint! That was my goal, and I reached it.

After finishing with Color Oops, I applied a neutral hair protein filler like suggested, and applied the hair dye. After using Color Oops, the box says that color will take quickly and to use two shades lighter than intended! It didn't lie! The color took to my hair within three or four minutes.

After finishing with Color Oops and the hair dye, I am back to almost my natural blonde color :) Just what I wanted. After conditioning after the hair color, my hair was super soft and there was no damage! I definitely would recommend this product. It was a life saver when it came to getting rid of that red tint!
