The brush is made out of a sturdy material however the primary use for the brush when dying the hair is not very good. I had to use lots of hair coloring product and the brush was not that helpful on its application.

if you are going to use a box dye at home for your hair, you should invest in one of these brushes. use it to apply dye evenly all over your hair. when i use the brush, i never miss any spots, and my at home dye job always comes out fabulous!

It does the job, exactly what it says. I wish it came with some sort of bowl to put the hair dye in and then use the product. But that has to be bought separately. If you dye your hair often enough, i recommend it, even if you just dye it once. You can't beat the price.
