I have been using L'Oreal mascaras since I first started wearing makeup, and they have always been my go-to products. I had high hopes for this because it's gotten pretty good reviews for creating dramatic eyes, but I have to agree with the others who said it smudges after a little while. It also gets a little clumpy after a couple weeks and I find myself picking little clumps of product from the ends of my lashes. It's a very think formula, and if it's not closed tightly it dries up very quickly. The couple of times I've fallen asleep before removing my makeup I've woken up to serious raccoon eyes the next day, and it can make your entire face oily. It starts out strong, but gets sort of "meh" after a while.

Smudges badly. It looks nice initially, but starts to migrate after a few hours. I had raccoon eyes for THREE DAYS after just one use.

This mascara is smudgy and very hard to remove. It looks great upon application, but starts to smudge after about 30 minutes. Opt instead for L'oreal Waterproof Volume Building in Black.

good product when it comes to defining and lengthening lashes; only problem is, it tends to smudge and clump. no worries though: after applying this, i add a thin layer of another brand's mascara to un-clump and protect from smudging. it looks great, and makes my dark lashes even darker!
