My heels were just too damaged from the summer and all the sandal wearing. And I needed something less expensive than the bi-weekly or monthly pedicure. Other than not being able to walk around the house with them on, I think they work great. I just put them on before I go to sleep. And I'm not a "sock person" but because they don't cover my toes like socks they're okay.
