This is my second Tourmaline Ionic hair dryer; the first lasting 3 years. Either the dryer was changed or is faulty and does not produce enough heat. I would not buy another one.

I had one for several years and it was perfect. This looked to be the exact same thing, but unfortunately it is not hot enough. I have wavy hair and it isn't pulling all of the curl out of my hair.

Comments about Hot Tools Tourmaline IONIC Professional Dryer:

This is my 3rd Hot Tools blowdryer in 28 years. Hot Tools continues to amaze me! This blow dryer does what it says. With this purchase, I chose to spend a little more for the lightweight and more wattage (2000). I travel alot for work and have shoulder length thick hair. It is truly lightweight and dries my hair in a shorter time period than my previous blowdryer (1800 watt).

Worked great for about 3 months then quit when I was on vacation! Ugh! I do not wash my hair every day, so it was not very much. Not good. I used my birthday money in April for the purchase and it broke July 4 weekend.

Comments about Hot Tools Tourmaline IONIC Professional Dryer:

Like many others have indicated, the dryer worked great while it worked but stopped working after a little over a year. I purchased the dryer last March and it stopped last week--in June. For the higher price tag, I'd expect for the dryer to last a bit longer than that.

Comments about Hot Tools Tourmaline IONIC Professional Dryer:

I enjoyed the way it handled and it was lightweight. It even had a nice amount of power which is what I always look for in a blow dryer. However the bottom line on this blow dryer is that it left my hair flat. I wear my hair in a bob style. I have fine hair so I need that fullness. If your looking for a sleeker hairstyle look then this would be for you. I also purchased the new Chi Miss Universe blow dryer. It gives me more volume but just doesn't have the power that this one has.

Comments about Hot Tools Tourmaline IONIC Professional Dryer:

I have purchased two of these dryers in the last year and a half. The first dryer died after 6 months and the second one died at about 8 months. They worked great until one day they just stopped working. I tried exchanging the first one at the store, but was told to return it the manufacturer. However, because I had not registered the dryer with the manufacturer they would not warranty the product. I have registered the second dryer, and plan to return it to the manufacturer for a replacement under their 1 year warranty. Despite the price of this dryer, it is not a good product. What happed to the dryers that would last 2 years. Very disappointing.

Used this hair dryer for my shoulder length thick hair about every other day- sad to say that it kicked the bucket this week and I only bought it LAST MARCH! So needless to say I missed the 1 year warrenty. Time to try a different brand I guess- I thought it would have lasted me a LITTLE longer since I thought it was a little bit better of a brand and was $85!
