Ever since Maybelline decided to discontinue the dark brown shade of their Define-A-Brow pencil (apparently we should all have light-colored brows, since they only discontinued this shade), I've been experimenting with different brow pencils and trying to find something similar. I mainly need something thinner than what is usually out there to get my perfect brown lines. The Almay Brow Defining Pencil isn't only a great replacement to the Maybelline product, it is superior. It goes on more smoothly, the shade is perfect for me, and I really like that there is a brow brush attached at one end. I highly recommend! And Ulta is the only place where I can buy it!

I have patchy eyebrows and this is the best brow pencil I have ever found. Others are stiff and hard to apply, Almays glides on easily.

Best color for dark brown hair(brunette), precise application, no waste from sharpening pencil, not so soft that it leaves gooey blobs on eyebrows. Built in brush is fantastic!

I found the color was darker than expected, and greasy. Doesn't blend well, but the brush end is helpful in removing some of the clumpiness.

I had been using a very pricey brow pencil and decided to find a quality replacement at a much less cost. I got very lucky with this as it was my first choice. No need to look further. Goes on easily, fills completely, and the color is perfect. Hard to find a brow pencil for blondes.

This is very easy to apply because of the tiny precision point, but there is not much product and the tip breaks off easily

I am a brunette and opted for the lighter color. It works well for me. I think if I chose the one according to my hair color it would have been too dark. It is easy to use and does not look like I penciled in my eyebrows.

Easy to use. The color I chose was for blonde hair, not the brunette one, which is my natural hair color. The brunette one looked a little dark so I opted for the blonde one and it seems to be a better match for me.
