My thick, slightly wavy hair that gets bulky in humid weather, is now so smooth and shiny. I don't know why it does a better job, but it does. I always shied away from Chi due to the high price. I now realize it actually COST me more money NOT to buy it sooner, as I bought other straighteners that were nearly as expensive but less efficient. I just assumed I'd never get my thick hair smooth. Period. I was always searching for the right "product". Turned out all I needed was Chi!

Had my old Chi since 2007. Decided to upgrade with this one. I love it! It heats up fast and works great!
Comments about Ultra CHI Red 1 Inch Ceramic Flat Iron:
oh my gaash . I have waited all month to buy this flat iron . why didn't I buy it in the first place ? well, it straightens really smoothly . & my hair is so soft afterwards, I can't stop touching it . mine came with CHI silk infusion . I love it love it love . it's so amazing . I thought my Revlon flat iron was good but hell, it's worthless compared to this amazing flat iron . I would TOTALLY recommend this product to anyone out there who has thick hair, frizzy hair, curly hair, wavy hair, or if you just need silky, smooth & shiny hair . :) if you have naturally straight, thin hair, don't bother, 'cause it'll fry you upp . yeah, it gets hot . but that's another thing I love about it <3 it's also long lasting ! I LOVE IT . buy it, I promise you won't regret it .

This is my 4th CHI over the years, haven't found anything that compares. Easy to use. Wish the iron was bigger than one inch but it works great!
Comments about Ultra CHI Red 1 Inch Ceramic Flat Iron:
I have very thick, long hair and lots of it. I was blessed (or cursed) with wavy hair that is incredibly sensitive to humidity and susceptible to frizz. I've been using straighteners for years! I started of with an "OTC" straightener, like a Conair which I found to be pretty ineffective. Then I hit up Sally's Beauty Salon and found one with multiple settings that had a higher heat than standard (can't remember the name). It broke after a few years and I replaced it with another straightener from Sally's (Titanium Tools), also with an adjustible dial. These were both mid-price range straighteners, but seemed to work really well on my hair. No complaints. But when my 2nd one from Sally's started to fall apart, I decided to replace it with this Chi iron (per my stylist's advice that Chi's were "the best". Since he worked at an upscale salon, I believed him). I have to say I am disappointed. Granted, I didn't end up paying much more for the Chi iron [$] than I did for the previous Sally's investments, but I had high expectations, and the Chi didn't turn out to be any better than the two straighteners I bought at Sally's (for about $55-65 if my memory serves correct). It wasn't any faster! In fact, I think it is acutally slower because it is only a 1" and my previous was a 1.5" straightener. I have to repeat sections to get my hair straight (and as with my other flat irons, I blowout my hair first!). I am disappointed. Unfortunately, time got away from me, or I would've tried to return it.

I use the product on my self and my daughter who has thick hair. After a good shampoo and conditioner, we use the Chi Silk Infusion, the Ion heat protection, and Olive Oil Hair Glossifier and it works fabulous! The hair is slick, swings, and no flyaways whatsoever. You can get close enough to the scalp without burning to get those curly roots straight. I bought my first Chi 4 years ago, and will NEVER buy another flat iron. In order to get the results you are looking for, you need to find out the technique that works for you, one pass or several passes with the heat protectant always. We use thin pieces and it is straight in one slow pass. If your hair is thin, you need to make your passes quicker down your hair. The only downside is that this is my third one because the cord shorts out easily and it dies! My beautician and her coworkers experience the same. So, take care of it and do not wrap the cord around the Chi. Also, keep your box and receipt! Protect it when traveling and you should be fine!
Comments about Ultra CHI Red 1 Inch Ceramic Flat Iron:
My hair is curly, long past the middle of my back and it is frizzy. I had tried many many flat irons and none of them made my hair so straight and frizz free. I also curl my hair with it. The curls are not tight it makes them wavy. As far as damage I use a product that protects my hair. In my opinion all hot tools are damaging if you use them alot and with no product to protect.

Comments about Ultra CHI Red 1 Inch Ceramic Flat Iron:
My love my Red Instantly straighten and shine your hair with this one inch ceramic flat iron! I have thin hair, so when i straighten it, i only haft to go over it once, and maybe twice! The only thing that bother's me is that, when i have my hair straight durng the day for a while it start's to curl up at the ends. I have long (cheast) thin hair, and i have a emo hair cut and i just want my hair to stay striaght, throughout the day! Other then my issues with my hair, it work's fantastic! It heats up withen 2 minutes!
