Comments about Hot Tools CeramicTI Tourmaline Curling Iron:

I have always used a 1 1/2" barrel curling iron about $20. I thought this would be great for the price paid. And I wanted to try the 2" barrel. It takes longer. It does not feel as though it gets hot enough to do the job. I have to keep going over the sections to get any results and my hair slip off easily. I will return.

Got the 2 inch iron - even though my hair is more of a medium length. I wanted big, loose waves as opposed to curls. Don't love it, don't hate it. I've only used it once; I think I still need to play arond with it a little more.

                                A:

Either is suitable for fine hair, since both irons feature variable heat settings. If you looked at the irons under a microscope, it's like the difference between granulated sugar and powdered sugar. The CeramicTI Tourmaline iron is smooth, but not like the smoothness of the NanoCeramic iron. Essentially what happens is that the ceramic is ground into a fine powder that is applied and fired onto the barrels multiple times. It will produce similar results with the difference being that the NanoCeramic iron will be even gentler on the hair than the regular CeramicTI Tourmaline.

Titanium heats the fastest to the hottest temperature, so it is a great option for thick, coarse hair. Ceramic Tourmaline helps to infuse hair with moisture and shine, so it is a great option for damaged, distressed, or over-processed hair. Gold heats quickly and evenly and is a great option for all hair types and textures.
