Cons

  • Doesnt Help With Frizz
  • Greasy Look
  • Sticky

Best Uses

Comments about Chi Silk Infusion:

The product works with shine and smooths your hair, but it doesn't help with frizz and it leaves your hair looking greasy and your hands sticky. I have thick, coarse, naturally frizzy hair and it did not work for me.

    Comments about Chi Silk Infusion:

I have thin and long wavy/curly hair , my hair is also color damaged alot so i needed something to use to straighten my hair with that adds shine n looks healthy and this is the only product that does that without weighing my hair down, only need a small amount and it smells really good also, its so worth it, i recommend this line to everyone, not only adds shine n makes my hair look healthy, it also makes it really smooth , frizz free, and doesn't tangle throughout the day! Try it! you will love it

    Comments about Chi Silk Infusion:

I take the time to care for my long hair by setting it in rollers. Chi protects the
hair from the heat damage and leaves the hair shiny. A small amount is apply prior to settin to wet hair. That is all! A little goes a lot for this amazing long hair waist length. I can't find any negative attributes, just that is sticky, but that is how I can gauge product application.

How is this product supposed to be used step by step. I tried so many different methods and none of those work for me. As soon as I finish my hair become frizzy and return back to its natural state. Help? I have natural African American hair.

            • Staff Reviewer

              A:

Silk Infusion is ideal for all hair types and textures. We recommend applying to damp, towel-dried hair for best results. Apply a small amount into the palm of your hand and work evenly through the hair. You can certainly apply more as needed (for longer lengths and thicker hair), a little at a time, working evenly through the hair. For best results, blow dry. You can also allow hair to air dry. We hope these usage tips help!

How does this compare to BioSilk Silk Therapy?
            Asked on 3/7/2015 by Meghan

            1 answer

            • Staff Reviewer

              A:

The CHI Silk Infusion is best when used on medium to thick hair and highly recommended as a heat protectant before styling. The Biosilk Silk Therapy is a lighter weight serum that contains 17 of the 19 amino acids found naturally in hair. It is ideal for reconstructing damage and providing incredible shine.

My 14 year old daughter washes her hair at night and straightens it in the morning. Should I have her apply this to her hair after her shower at night, and then again in the morning right before she straightens her hair?

            1 answer

            • Staff Reviewer

              A:

This product can be used on wet hair; comb through thoroughly to ensure the product is distributed evenly. In the morning, we recommended only using a small amount if the hair needs more product. We also recommend the CHI 44 Iron Guard (Item #: 2113781) to protect the hair from thermal styling.

          • Q:

I have very dry, thick relaxed hair. I plan to use this product before applying heat to it. Is it good for using on dry hair before applying heat? Also, the which product would be best suited for my hair? This or the keratin silk infusion?
            Asked on 2/14/2015 by Sam

            1 answer

            • Staff Reviewer

              A:

CHI Silk Infusion is a treatment and can be used on dry or wet hair. If applied to dry hair, using heat will help infuse the product into the hair's cuticle to help reconstruct and strengthen the hair. When you apply it on wet hair, the product will set in once dried. Keratin Silk Infusion will be the same and is ideal for hair that is prone to frizziness.
