Comments about Physicians Formula Mineral Face Powder:

I usually purchase BareMinerals. After drying my face out and paying way too much money I decided to sample this product because it was so cheap and good for my skin. I have been using this for two weeks and so far I love the results. It doesn't cake on my face and its lightweight. I can't stand feeling like I have product on my face.

Comments about Physicians Formula Mineral Face Powder:

Out of all the mineral makeups I have tried this is still my favorite. I could not stand using BM I never could figure out what the hype was and to me it seemed very unnatural looking, almost chalky on the skin, had to use far too much to get good coverage, did not last long, and for what it did was not worth the money.
I do wish they had more colors but since they do not I have settled on Sand Beige. I have a medium skin tone with neutral undertone. It can look the slightest but dark if I just swipe it on but if I apply it with a kabuki or ELF professional powder brush, the flat top one, The coverage and shade are great! I apply my revlon concealer and then this on top and my face looks great.
Sometimes if my skin is not the best shape I use my revlon primer and then apply this and it also makes it last just a tad longer. Since I have oily skin nothing last on my but this looks great, and I can reapply if I need to without looking hideous.
I really love this for everyday, as well as work but usually will opt for my revlon whipped for work.

Comments about Physicians Formula Mineral Face Powder:

After trying many (possibly all) expensive powders (so expensive) over the past decade on my sensitive skin.. I decided to try this brand as a friend recommended. Ever since, I refuse to even look at any other powders!! My skin feels better with this on than it does completely bare! Nothing compares and my wallet is much happier! I buy in bulk when this stuff goes on sale, not that it isn't already well worth the price. One compact lasts me almost two months. I boast this brand to everyone I know, since I'm not very popular, I often consider shouting my love for this product from rooftops. Consider this review my virtual rooftop.

Comments about Physicians Formula Mineral Face Powder:

I really enjoy this product. It blends very nice into the skin. I use it on top foundations or BB creams to set them. The finish is very nice - it's not too matte, but it's also not super dewy. I naturally have dry skin and this doesn't irritate it at all. The product is so smooth and silky on the skin. It creates a nice canvas for the rest of your makeup.

Comments about Physicians Formula Mineral Face Powder:

I have very oily skin; I've never gone more than two hours without blotting. I wear this on top of a bb cream or liquid foundation to control oil, control shine, and to provide more coverage. It's unscented, doesn't have shimmer, and super easy to apply and blend. The coverage is really good. I have scaly red patches on my cheeks and this doesn't make the flakes look worse. I LOVE this for oily skin, because it really does absorb oil and keep shine at bay. I use a round sponge to apply it instead of the brush that comes with it, then brush the excess powder from my face with a big fluffy powder brush. I have very light skin and bought this in translucent light. It can have a bit of a white cast so I would recommend getting it one shade darker, like the creamy natural color. It doesn't get cakey or look gross at the end of the day. If I blot and reapply, I could easily go a full 8 hours. I would absolutely recommend this.

          Covers Scar Really Well

Comments about Physicians Formula Mineral Face Powder:

I use this on top of my concealer to cover a large face scar from an unfortunate spider bite. I have tried many high-end powders, and this is the one powder that actually makes my scar look almost nonexistant! Maybe I just chose the perfect color, or maybe it is the powder. Whatever it is, it works wonders. I just wish it didn't have parabens. The name is a bit deceiving, mineral--so no talc, but parabens. When I see mineral used the describe makeup, I want to feel confident that it is as healthy as makeup can get.

Comments about Physicians Formula Mineral Face Powder:

I was really looking for talc free and this compact fit the bill. I'll add a little after work and it takes me through the evening without shine. My only problem is that this comes with a brush instead of a puff/sponge applicator so it leaves some makeup dust loose on the surface and guess where the brush goes...under the makeup, so you have to flip the powder upside down, letting loose a little shower of powder, in order to put the brush away.

Comments about Physicians Formula Mineral Face Powder:

I've been using this product for the last 3 years. It is the BEST foundation I've ever used. I was a Bare Escentuals user for a long time even though it was out of my price range.

The problem that I had with BE was how long it took to build up the coverage I wanted/needed. The color selection was also hard for me since I'm between a fair and medium. I'd have to buy two and mix them. Way too expensive.

The coverage is perfect. You can get the look you want the first time around. If you tend to have a dry patch/area, apply a little moisturizer before you use it. My skin is combo and I just add moisturizer to my cheeks, eyes, and forehead first.

It does not look chalky on me at all. It has a matte finish and does a good job at absorbing shine. It doesn't make my face break out at all. Great for that use.

I've tried the loose version and didn't like it as well. I've also tried and would NOT use the 16 hour coverage version if you have oily skin. I tried it and it gave me a very shiny look and breakouts.

Every time I turn around I'm worried that this product will be gone forever. They seem to be out of my shade a lot. I buy 3 and 4 at a time. The manufacturer does a lot of BOGOs on this one too. Great price! You should give it a try if you're looking for something quick, easy, and at a reasonable price.

Comments about Physicians Formula Mineral Face Powder:

I've been using this product for years, because i can't find another that I like and/or matches as well within the same price that doesn't make my skin breakout. My only wish is that it wouldn't break apart. Almost every one that I've bought has broken apart for no reason. Doesn't matter whether I keep it in a makeup bag, sitting on my counter, in a drawer, purse, whatever. I'll just find it one day with cracks all across its surface.

So decent product, but ridiculously delicate.

Perhaps better packaging is in order?
