I'm 44 years old and have tried every OTC cleanser to help my oily, acne-prone skin from constant breakouts and hormonal Painful cysts around the chin, plus oiliness that causes any makeup to simply wipe off within an hour. I finally tried this, and it doesn't leave it oily, but with enough moisture that I don't get the 'oil rebound' effect that makes my skin too oily! So not only does my makeup last longer, my skin is the CLEAREST it's ever been in my whole life! I tried the 'normal to dry' variety, and it leaves my skin oily--don't get that one!

My dermatologist recommended I start using this for my sensitive skin that kept breaking out. I was using a clarisonic with the acne bristle head and using really expensive facewash. (this was making me break out more according to my doctor!) After using this face wash, my face calmed down within 3 days and i haven't broken out much since. and i save ALOT of money!

Let me start out by saying I thought I had oily acne prone skin. I was wrong. I was using acne products that dried out and irritated my skin. I switched to Cetaphil and my skin has improved drastically. I have normal skin (not to oily or dry) and NO MORE ACNE. This leaves my face so soft and clean without stripping all the natural oils. I cannot reccomend it enough.

Better texture and more effective cleansing, without being drying, than higher priced cleansers. Works well with Clarisonic brush. Nicely priced. The smell makes me feel like I'm 16 years old and using some kind of strong acne prevention product, though, it is not a fresh, clean smell, it is downright medicinal, and, to me, unpleasant.

Dermatologists still recommend Cetaphil after ALL these years. I have oily skin and I wear make-up so I use this Daily Facial Cleanser. It's not my favorite (Purity is my favorite), and I do use other cleansers, but I always have this in the house because it's cheap, it removes makeup, and I can rely on it to be good to my skin. This has a bitter scents that's unpleasant; especially compared with the wonderful fragrances of Purity or even Aveeno.

I have extremely sensitive skin and have been struggling to find a face wash for a while. I have never had any acne. I began using Cetaphil and did not get my usual hives when I'm allergic so I continued for months. I have began breaking out and my nose and forehead and thought it was just me being a teenager. During a week long vacation, I forgot my Cetaphil and did not wash my face with it. My acne magically disappeared. Although this product removes makeup well, it doesn't make my skin feel clean and doesn't lather. I personally don't like it.

Great cleanser my dermotologist recommended me to use and the product is manufactured by a pharmacy company that makes RX topical treatment for ance. They definiately know what they are doing and this is a good product for problematic skin.
