I love that I can straighten and curl easily with this. I have had one for 3 years now, and I just bought one for my mom. She also loves how easy it is to use.

Comments about Chi Ceramic Hairstyling Iron:

I bought mine in November, 2013 (less than two years ago) because I had used Chi's before that my friends owned and they seemed to do a great job. Mine never seemed to be quite as good but it got the job done. That is until about a month ago when the wiring problems started and at first I would just have to position the cord in the right way to get it to heat up, but now I can't get it to turn on at all. I used it frequently but I was pretty careful with it so I am very disappointed in the quality. Will not be repurchasing.

Comments about Chi Ceramic Hairstyling Iron:

I purchased this CHI iron about 1.5 years ago, and it just died. It was never quite the quality I expected from a Chi iron. Even at arrival, it had a little chip in the plate, and I should've returned it right away. I had thought the plates were fully ceramic, but apparently they are just coated. I'd keep searching if you are looking for a great, long-lasting performer.

Comments about Chi Ceramic Hairstyling Iron:

I bought this straightener a year ago after talking myself into purchasing a more expensive, highly rated brand like CHI. Previously, I had a remington that I bought for about $20 that had pretty good quality and lasted me 4 YEARS! I was a little disappointed quickly after beginning to use this CHI straightener. It does not have heat settings, the red light always blinked when turned on (never figured out if it was supposed to do that) and left my hair very flat with little shine. I also thought I would be able to curl my hair a bit with this - but was never able to give it any curl.

My worst complaint though - is that it recently just stopped working - for no reason! I would only use it maybe 3 -4 times a week, for about 15-20 minutes to do my hair and would never leave it on longer then it needed to be. When this happened, I went to look at my receipt and the warranty - there is a 1 year warranty and mine conked out after 1 year and 3 weeks....

So back to the cheaper brands of $25-30 because I know I can get my money's worth out of those.

Was not for me! I was very surprise in Rebels quality of this product. I wanted to upgrade from my "wannabe CHI the FHI" and I can honestly say my FHI was way better ! I have used my friends CHI from many years ago and I really loved it. I bought the "original CHI" and it is NOT the same. I really think they have changed their product. This was very cheaply made, didn't get very hot, I had to iron each section at least 4 times and then my hair was back to being wavy after about 2 hours. Took back and traded in.

The more expensive models of CHI probably have various heat and temperature settings. I exchanged mine for an even less expensive modern tools one that had temperature settings. With my thin fragile hair I needed one that doesn't get too hot.

I have had my Chi Flat Iron for several years. I will be traveling to France later this month and was curious if my Chi Flat Iron was dual voltage.

                                  A:

Yes, all of CHI and Ultra CHI flat irons as well as Ultra CHI curling irons are dual voltage. CHI ARC Automatic Rotating Curler and CHI dryers are not dual voltage.

Does this product have an auto shutoff? If no, can you recommend a Chi flat iron WITH and auto shut off?
