Comments about Japonesque Makeup Brush Cleanser:

I wanted something to spot clean between washings. I love their solid soap, this however is a huge miss. It smells like pure Orange oil in a bad way and leaves an oily residue. I may grow to live this but right now. I am not blown away like with the sold soap.

Comments about Japonesque Makeup Brush Cleanser:

sprayed the stuff directly onto the brush... waited couple seconds. then rubbed the brush around a towel/paper towel. everything comes right off. much more than any other brush cleaner i've used in the past. it seems to also condition the bristles ... but even after it's completely dried there seems to be oily stuff left on it. i brushed the dry brush on the back of my hand and i can see the oily substance get transferred onto my hand... so i'm just wondering if this is safe for my face or if it'll make me break out. not sure yet.

Comments about Japonesque Makeup Brush Cleanser:

I was skeptical about buying two with the buy one get one 50% off deal Ulta was having on this product. I bought the smallest size to try it out and I loved it! I deep clean my brushes once a week, and even then my gel eyeliner brush had permanent black in it. I used this spray once on it and every single black bristle was perfectly clean like I just bought it! I regret not stocking up on this and getting one 50% off. The biggest bottle is worth the price. Easy for every day quick use!!

Works great when you need it...

            Best Uses

            • For Maintenance

Comments about Japonesque Makeup Brush Cleanser:

Consider this to be a 'heavy-duty' solvent type brush cleaner. This is not a substitute for shampooing your brushes.. (Think of hand-sanitizer vs. washing your hands.) I still use 'lighter' type solvent cleaners where applicable.

This is a very effective product when you need it. It dissolves cream, gel, long-lasting formulations easily and quickly. Use judiciously only if/when you need it.

DO NOT SOAK your brushes in this stuff, it can break-down the glue that holds your brush head in place! (Capillary action will let the solvent travel right up into the ferrule even if you aren't immersing the whole head.)

Best bet--pour a little in a jar, blot & buff off residue from your brush onto a clean cloth or paper towel, and repeat until clean. Use when you need to clean a brush from lipstick, gel liner, etc. Otherwise: spray onto a cloth and gently buff your brush head clean for lighter maintenance cleaning.

Comments about Japonesque Makeup Brush Cleanser:

This is the first time I have ever purchased a brush cleaner, I typically use shampoo and water but the brushes end up completely soaked and take forever to dry. I used this on an assortment of brushes and it worked amazingly. All of the brushes came out really clean, the product smells like orande oil which is a plus and it dries pretty quickly, even my bare minerals handy buki was very clean and dried relatively quickly.

This is by far the best brush cleanser. Way better then MACs , and all the others. I've used many! I keep a rag in my makeup door and jus spray on the rag and wipe brush over and immediately comes clean! It does have like a citrus smell but disappears immediately, you do not smell it on your brushes. I've been buying this for years, it's a staple in my makeup products!

Comments about Japonesque Makeup Brush Cleanser:

This cleaner works very well! I use it for all different brushes including a large kabuki brush and a small eyeliner brush. With the larger brushes I can spray the cleaner directly on the bristles and then sweep the brush on some paper towel and the makeup immediately shows up on the towel. For the smaller brushes I spray the cleaner onto the paper towel (a little goes a long way!) and then sweep the brushes directly on that. I see a lot of people saying that this cleaner is oily, and yes it is, but that is what makes it so effective at removing makeup and conditioning the bristles on your brushes. I would not recommend using this cleaner right before applying makeup as the brushes will need some time to dry. I usually clean my brushes once a week or every two weeks in the evening and let them sit out to dry over night and they are ready in the morning. This cleaner has lasted me a while and I would say it has been a good purchase for the price!

I have tried make up brush cleaners and always felt like the brush was never quite clean. This one really removes the make up and makes your brush like new.

I've tried other brush cleaners and this cleans as well as any harsher smelling ones. This even cleans my waterproof foundation off the foundation brush and I like that it is a multi-tasker in that it cleans, disinfects and leaves brushes conditioned.
