Comments about Dermablend Loose Setting Powder:

I have super oily skin, and use this to set my face. So far I like it, but I am not sure it is going to be my favorite. It works the best of the things I've tried, but I want to try some more out before I decide it's my holy grail setting powder.

I put this on over my primer and under my foundation. This is the BEST setting powder I have EVER used. I have tried many. The price is great. Go ahead and throw away the poof that comes with it and buy a brush. My makeup lasts all day and and night even with my extremely oily skin. It is very messy, so put it on before you get dressed to leave. :)

The colorless makes the flashback in the photos?

              A:

The translucent shade applies invisibly, so it is suitable on every skin tone. We recommend applying a sheer layer by tapping off excess powder from your brush to prevent any white cast or flashback effect.

What color would I choose, and will it work with combination oily, acne, and extreme flaking dry patch pitted ski?. My skin color is pretty pale but I have dyed my hair dark brown. Should I use no color or will this make me look like a ghost or cool beige, will this be too dark? I do use darker color bronzer around the outer edge of my face.

I recently bought the dermablend foundation. But I haven't tried this product. I need something that will help set it and help it become waterproof. Will this product help make the foundation waterproof?
Asked on 7/6/2015 by Renee from Indiana

            1 answer

            • Staff Expert

              A:

Using the Setting Powder over your foundation helps to ensure smudge- and transfer-resistance for up to 16 hours. It does not have a waterproofing effect.

I ordered the derma blend leg and body cream in bronze to cover my spider veins. I spray tan so the suntan color was not dark enough. do I have to apply the setting powder or can I use alone? what shade do you recommend?

              A:

We recommend setting the Leg & Body Cover using the Setting Powder to ensure smudge- and transfer-resistance for up to 16 hours. Colorless or Warm Saffron would both work well for you.

I've used regular pressed powder for years to set my undereye concealer and foundation, but I find that it tends to crease. Was recommended colorless setting powder to minimize creasing. Would this be good for that?
