On a recent trip, I forgot my favorite face wash, Neotrogena's Acne Scrub in Grapefruit. I've been using that facewash every day for the past 3+ years.
I was distraught because I had forgotten that facewash. The person I was staying with had this Deep Clean cleanser, and I was surprised to find this works even better than the grapefruit cleanser.
I believe the reason for that is the alpha hydroxy in Deep Clean as opposed to salycilic acid in Acne Scrub. I am 29 years old and have suffered from acne and extremely oily skin my whole life. Part of the treatment for oily skin is sloughing off dead skin cells, and the alpha hydroxy in Deep Clean helps do that. Pair this with St. Ives Apricot Scrub, and you're left with squeaky clean, smooth, angelic skin.
My skin still gets oily during the day, but this facewash seems to help keep my face looking fresh for longer.
