Long Lasting

By Desert Dweller

from Scottsdale AZ

Comments about Lorac POREfection Foundation:

I have to admit, my expectations were not that high. This foundation blew me away. It lasted all day, didn't crack, not much oil, didn't wear off... My days are about 12-14 hours from application to removal and it looked good right up until I took it off. (I live in a very dry climate, have normal to oily skin, and I do not have allergies.) I gave it a five because I like it as much as (maybe more than) my Doublewear.

    Comments about Lorac POREfection Foundation:

I don't see this being a good foundation for anyone, unless you're looking for one that doesn't last & has poor coverage, then this is right up your alley!

I was on the hunt for a new Fall foundation when I decided to give Lorac's Porefection Foundation a try. My skin type is combination, more dry during the Winter. One mistake I made was not reviewing this foundation before purchasing, otherwise I would've looked at other choices. I think one reason I chose to go with this foundation was because I've also purchased Lorac's CC cream to wear underneath, so I figured it would be a good combination.

It's been about a week trial run. So far I've found that even with moisturizer, Lorac's POREfection Mattifying Face Primer on my t-zone, & Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Light overall, this foundation does not apply smoothly or last on my skin (I've tried different combinations & tools - no moisturizer, no Smashbox primer, stippling brush, Beauty Blender, fingers, etc.). I also set it with their Porefection Baked Perfecting Powder, Makeup Forever's HD Setting Powder, & Urban Decay's makeup setting spray and it still ends up being patchy on my face about 5-6 hours later. It also transfers like no other.

The coverage is not great either, even when combined with their CC cream. This is not a good foundation for someone with rosacea & a number of acne scars (like myself). I would not recommend this foundation to a friend (and I've tried a number of different foundations in the past few years). Save your $$ & look elsewhere if you're looking for new foundation!

    Comments about Lorac POREfection Foundation:

I was really looking forward to trying this foundation because I had heard many great reviews. The shade was perfect for me, but that is about the only pro of this foundation. It has light/med coverage, which I like but after a few hours (2 or 3) the foundation is sooooooo patchy and I think it had to do with excessive amount of oil (? I guess). At the end of the day my forehead is sooo oily looking and I have normal skin. I have never felt my face like this. It is unfortunate because I really love other Lorac products.

I've tried many of the high end foundations out there, yet could never be completely happy. Either the color wasn't perfect or it would start to separate after a few hours. This is a great foundation, and a little goes a long way.

      Comments about Lorac POREfection Foundation:

Along with other lorac foundations, this is one on the only foundations I can find to match my fair/neutral skin with yellow/olive undertones.
However, its not long lasting. Once you apply the foundation you can literally wipe your finger across your face and it moves. Its like it stays wet or something idk.

It gets super patchy, and my face looks super oily and shiny, just yuck!! Do not purchase this, stay away! Unless you like to look like an oil slick! :(

            Comments about Lorac POREfection Foundation:

I was expecting POREfection to be mattifying and help with oil-control. Wow was I wrong! This watery, sheer foundation is extremely moisturizing. With this much moisture, the last thing I want to do is layer this for more coverage. In any case, I could not find a decent match for my skin. I don't like foundation that can be seen on my skin, and there's something in the undertones of these shades that refuses to meld with my coloring. I'm somewhere between PR7 and PR8, (PR8 in the summertime), but both shades are so "neutralized" they have gray tones on my warm skin.

I was having difficulty finding a foundation that met all my needs. I tried several brands with poor results. I have dry skin, a fair complexion and large pores. I wanted a smooth, medium to light coverage that was a good color match. Porefection was perfect. It blends so nicely, and my pores have actually shrunk!

                • Q:

I'm fair skinned with slight pink undertones. I have normal skin with a slightly oily t-zone as the day goes on, especially if the weather is warm. I really would like to try this product since I heard many good things & as I'm getting older (I'm 39) my pores are getting a little larger & I have very little fine lines. When I purchased the Urban Decay Naked foundation, it was recommended that I get shade 2.0 which surprisingly matches me well considering the yellow undertones. Which shade would u suggest in this foundation? Thank u :)!

We suggest testing both PR2 - Light (this shade is most similar to UD 2.0) and PR1 - Fair (which is lighter and slightly more pink-toned) at your nearest ULTA store to determine your best match:
                    http://www.ulta.com/ulta/stores/storelocator.jsp

Try the 3-step system to create Complexion POREfection:

Step 3: POREfection Baked Perfecting Powder
