Wow, this is as easy as other reviewers said. After having only two salon gel manicures and loving them, I took the plunge on this. Gives a perfect manicure and was easy. Took me a little longer as I got used to each step. Once you do it a few times, the time spent will be even less. Manicure was rock hard and beautiful for 2+ weeks!

Comments about Red Carpet Manicure Pro 45 Train Case:

I came across this package when doing research on the best at home nail gel kits. I have to say I am impressed. This set essentially is the same quality as what I was getting at the salon (with some trial and error on my part).

There are many steps to this nail application but don't skip any! The finished product will not hold up as well if you do. Try to put the nail polish on thin, cure under the light, then layer as you like. If you put too much polish on your nail in one coat it will pool on the sides. If you let it cure under the light your stuck with thick polish on the sides of your nail that will make your manicure last for less time than it is meant to because it will get caught in EVERYTHING (not that I'm speaking from experience or anything). Taking the polish off can be a pain since you need to wrap your nails in foil but it really works. Also, be careful when purchasing additional polishes. I bought one I thought was a nude khaki color based on the color of the bottle but it turned out to be really tiny gold glitter.

It can take some time to go through all the steps but it's worth it to be done and not have to worry about your nails for a while. The coat I currently have on my nails is almost two weeks old and it hasn't chipped at all.

Comments about Red Carpet Manicure Pro 45 Train Case:

Okay, so far I love this thing. I bought it today. Did my fingers and toes, and I am giddy.

I used to paint my nails all the time in high school and younger; used to like to do designs (stripes and what not) before there were appliques in every store. Festive/holiday colors, and all that jazz. I lost that drive when I became a barista years ago because nail polish is a no-no...I was excited when I could just do clear.

I've gotten my nails professionally done like twice in my life, and, while it's neat to have it done, I've never been one to keep up on that sort of thing, partially because of the cost, partially because of time (and frequency), and partially because I'm just not that high-maintenance. Well, I'm in a job now where I have occasion to meet vendors, etc, and I need to look more professional on a regular basis. I was going to go to a salon this weekend, but I really didn't feel like laying down the cash for something that I was going to have to go back for repeatedly...but I also know that just painting my nails doesn't really work anymore because it chips off too easily and I *really* don't have the time to reapply every few days, and have to wait for it to dry without being productive (very annoying).
So...long story short (too late), I took the plunge and bought this baby today.

It came with Red Carpet Red (obviously), so I bought white as well and went with the classic French tips. They could look better, but that's only because I am out of practice and didn't use any guides, but, aside from my own lack of expertise in this area, I am as happy as I could be, and I will get better with practice. And now I'm actually *excited* to do my nails again. Can't wait to get some more colors and get all festive and junk.

Fingers: It took about 2 hours from start to finish, but, as stated, I am out of practice...plus I had to read the instructions very carefully and do everything step-by-step because I didn't want to risk messing anything up...and it didn't help that I was watching Criminal Minds at the same time, as well as cooking dinner. I packed it up and then decided to do my toes (also French tip), and this time it took a little over an hour.

So, considering that I didn't have to leave my living room *and* I got to watch Shemar Moore all within around the same time it might have taken to drive to a salon and get all four extremities done, I'd say this was a really good deal. It will have more than paid for itself in two 'visits.' Hopefully it will last as long as it should and my excitement will remain intact...but if it doesn't, I will at least first try to determine if it was 'user error.'

Very very glad I decided to go for it. Oh and I love the little train case it comes with.

This gel manicure kit is amazing!! I've never used one before, but I found these easy to apply and lasts almost as long as they claim. I started to get lifting around the edges at about 10 days, but I rarely want to keep a color that long anyhow. The light that comes with this kit is great; I love having no dry time. And the extra money for the train case and extras is totally worth it. I couldn't be happier with this purchase and can't wait to build up my gel polish collection!

My hubby got this for me going on almost 2 years ago. I'll never go back tho the salon for my nails ever again. On my toes, the nail polish will last about 4 weeks and that's only because my nails are growing out. On my fingers they last about 3 weeks, chip free. This is a great investment! You won't be sorry

Comments about Red Carpet Manicure Pro 45 Train Case:

I really love this set. I applied my first manicure with it about a week and a half ago and it hasn't chipped at all even though I type all day, and it's very shiny.

The kit has basically everything you need to get started, and materials to remove the manicure (which take slightly more effort than removing regular nail polish).

The case itself is really great, very much worth the extra money over the regular starter kit. It has room for everything, including elastic loops in the bottom to hold four polish/basecoat/topcoat bottles as well as the remover and the prep liquid. I like that everything isn't just loose in the bottom with the lamp. There is also a removable top section to keep 8 additional colors in, as well as space for lint-free wipes. There's a pocket at the back for appliques, nail gems, tools, etc.
