Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover:

Personally im sickened by the bad reviews ok ok people LISTEN!! IF YOU HAVE SEMI PERMANENT COLOR IN YOUR HAIR This Will NOT Work For You! This product is for permanent colored hair... so that means if you are trying to get rid of blue? purple? pink? and any other vibrant shade this will not work for you.. google vitamin C hair color removal .. ;) that being said.. back to my review.. i just got out of the shower after doing this. Not my first time either ;) Ok Ok lets start from the top.. so in decemeber i bleached my hair to dye it purple.. then at the end of march the purple was so pink it was time for change.. so i tried a magenta red shade.. didnt like it.. so tried brown.. too boring.. so went a 4v (violet red) it was ok but i was really missing my purple.. so my purple dye will be here friday its wends so i figured to day was the perfect day to use the color oops to pull the red out that i had just put into my hair... it is now a blonde/orangish shade which is PERFECT for me to go purple again ;) be aware giving your hair a few days to gain natural oils in it after is ALWAYS a good thing ;) it does smell pretty narly lol my husband didnt even want to sleep in the bedroom since i just did this before bed. I dye my hair alot so perhaps im just used to all the weird smells.. it smells not good but its surely not the worse ive ever smelled. As for damaging you hair? it doesnt. i used the EXTRA STRENGTH of this product . Does What Its Supposed to do.. At Least if your trying to get rid of PERMANENT color that you have put in your hair. Hope this helps someone out there :)

Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover:

It is smelly but not as bad as I expected after reading other comments. A lot of hair fell out while i was applying the product so I was in a panic to wash it out, I probably could have done with a few more minutes to process. Rinsing for forty minutes is tedious as heck, but in the end I was very pleased with the result. I am heavily gray but have been dying my hair dark auburn for decades. Final look was a lighter medium brown and my gray blended in nicely. My hair felt soft afterwards. I panicked with the hair loss but if I am honest, i lose a lot of hair every time I colour it. I recommend the product but probably won't use it again, at least not anytime soon.... Hopefully won't have an oops to fix! :)

        Bad news

        By Maddy

Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover:

I was using color oops to remove some red hair dye from my naturally light brown hair. It didn't work at all. I followed the instructions to a tee and a microscopic amount of color came out. Not to mention it has a terrible smell, I even had a smell in my hair after every shower I took after using color oops. Instead of this do the vitamin c treatment, which involves a cheap shampoo and crushed up vitamin c. Mix these together put it on your hair and it gets a lot of the color out. My hair is not red anymore but an auburn brown color

Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover:

I used this to remove permanent light brown hair color that I stupidly put over blonde. Color Oops removed every trace of brown dye - but keep in mind that the rinsing is the most important part. I shampooed and rinsed my hair for half an hour before soaking it with a deep conditioner. Your hair will be dry so baby it afterwards. Also - remember that drug store hair dye will lighten your natural hair before it deposits color so when you use Color Oops you will be left with brassy tones or even orange hair if your hair wasn't already bleached out. In my case, my blonde is perfect again but my roots are brassy. I'm going to lift my roots to blonde after I'm finished repairing my hair with Olaplex and proton conditioners.

I used this product for the first time, because I was sick of having to dye my hair red all the time. Well.. I guess I have too much hair for one bottle or it just works on certain hair? Needless to say my hair is orange now and I am going to have to miss work because of it tomorrow.

          • Getting Black Out

Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover:

I dyed my hair dark brown, basically black, in July of last year (it is now the end of March, so 8 months ago). My natural color is somewhat unidentifiable; mostly brown, but with hints of gold and red depending on the lighting and the season. It is also curly, which means it's prone to dryness and soaked up the dye like nobody's business. My roots have been growing in a lot and I didn't want to keep my black-ish hair anymore; to me dying it was just a one time thing. I also was tired of how the dye seemed to weigh down my really curly hair but didn't think anything but bleach would help. I saw online that there are some more natural remedies to getting hair dye out, so I wanted to try something like that before resorting to harsher chemicals. I washed my hair with dish soap twice and saw a slight difference, and at the time I was happy about it. Then I decided to try Color Oops after watching several YouTube videos and reading reviews that proved it worked. On a whim, I went out and bought the Extra Strength version and tried it last night. It does not smell pleasant, and it definitely lingers, so I don't recommend using this if you don't have good ventilation, but it is not intolerable. I honestly expected the smell to be worse. It takes a really long time if you follow the directions to a T, as I did. First you apply the liquid to your hair, cover with the cap provided, wait 20 minutes, and rinse. Shampoo for 15-20 minutes, rinse well, then shampoo three more times with 5 minutes of rinsing in between washes. Then I STRONGLY recommend doing a deep conditioning treatment immediately after, because it is very drying, especially for my already-prone-to-dryness curly hair. During the first shampoo, I noticed a difference and was very excited! I did not expect it to work, but it did! I don't think all of the dye is gone, but enough is gone that I am happy and it doesn't look dyed. I am so glad I found this product and I wish I wasn't afraid to try chemicals months ago

Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover:

Will strip out the old so you can dye it anew! Not too much damage, but stinks for days (no matter how many times you wash it) and is super runny when applying it. You're hair will also be a little dry for about a week, but it beats any other similar product for removing color.
