finally...the perfect match...

By labelsschlabels

Comments about Japonesque Color Luminous Foundation:

Finally! A pink undertone without the ashy grey beige weirdness! I got this in an Ulta store and put it on with just a primer. I wanted to see how it wore before I prepped, primed, locked it down with a spray and all of that. I just set it with finishing powder and it was 6 hours before the oil slick began....so I am impressed. There was no oxidation, the coverage is amazing, and the color is a perfect match....again without that color weirdness muddy look that comes from most pink toned foundations. Now, if it continues to perform well I'll use it for a long long time!

Comments about Japonesque Color Luminous Foundation:

I gave this a try because I was testing Japonesque foundations. I really loved the Velvet Touch formula, but there's no color match for me. I wish Velvet Touch had the same shades as Luminous Foundation, because Luminous's colors seem much more like natural skin colors (except for darker shades, which don't exist). I'm kind of between shades 06 and 07, but I could easily just go with 06. Unfortunately, this foundation is for dry skin, and on me it's like adding cooking oil over my sunscreen. If you have dry skin this is probably gorgeous on you. Hopefully Japonesque will expand their shade range in the Velvet Touch foundation!

Comments about Japonesque Color Luminous Foundation:

This is by far, one of my favorite foundations! I have used, what feels like almost all of them, and I'm so happy I found this! I was actually helped by the brand rep and she was awesome and told me more about the brand and helped me find my shade (Shade 3).
I have combination skin, and I was concerned I would look oily half way through the day but my skin just looked healthy and natural. It doesn't feel like I have makeup caked on. I like I can build it up to full coverage if I need to or wear it light. It's bery versatile. I ended up buying their Velvet Touch Primer and Finishing Powder to go with it, looks flawles!

Comments about Japonesque Color Luminous Foundation:

I absolutely love wearing this foundation during the daytime. I like the way that it feels on my face and the way it blends with my complexion. The only thing that I do not like about this product is that I do not get the full coverage that I like at night and when I want a more glamorous and sculptured look. It is still worth the money.

I normally use Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup by Urban Decay. The sales lady at Ulta talked me into switching to this. Definitely not near as good of a product as Naked! It didn't last more than a couple of hours and there was barely any coverage.

I have mature, olive skin and find it extremely difficult to find the right color of foundation. This is the first that absolutely matches my skin tone and I don't have two mix two different colors to get close to the right color. Worth every penny to find something so perfect!

Shade 4, for light-medium skin tones with yellow undertones, may be your best match during the summer, while Shade 1, for fair skin tones with a neutral balance of pink and yellow undertones, may be your best match during the winter. Both shades will help to neutralize pink tones.

                    A:

Japonesque does not test or claim that their products are non-comedogenic. All Japonesque Color products are dermatologically-tested to ensure no potential for irritation.

Looking for a product for aging skin (40) that is still acne prone but have trouble with dry patches. I like a medium coverage. I am wearing MAC NW15 (per MAC rep) but feel it's a tad light. What would my color match be and would this be a good product to consider?

                    A:

This product features medium-to-full buildable coverage with a natural finish. For your complexion, we recommend Shade 2 (Item #:2265517) for fair skin. We recommend applying a moisturizer and/or primer prior to this product to help alleviate dry patches for smooth application of foundation.
