          Didn't help with my breakouts

          About Me Brand Buyer

Comments about Dermalogica Clear Start Breakout Clearing Foaming Wash:

I wanted to splurge and buy a cleanser that would help with my breakouts (it gets bad around my chin area) and have very sensitive skin. I started using once a day and it didn't help or change my breakouts. Then started using twice a day and my breakouts got worse and my skin was super dry and flakey. Maybe the whole kit would've helped? Going to an aesthetician to help find products that will help.

Thank you for your inquiry. Both of these cleansers contain salicylic acid. Foaming Wash from our teen line will be slightly more hydrating and have more botanicals to sooth and calm the skin. They are both foaming gel cleansers.

I'm 19 and my canes not terribly bad, but it's still acne, and off and on I will get several breakouts. My skin is dry, so would this be ok to use? Is there a specific age range that this product is for?

                    Hello Katie,
Foaming Wash will help with excess oil and breakouts. It is also important to exfoliate regularly and use a clay based masque to absorb excess oil and keep follicles clear. Pore Control Scrub should be used 3-5 times a week. Massage a pea size amount on skin and then let it sit for 5- 10 minutes and remove with water. It is important to be consistent with you home care when dealing with acne.

                    A:

                    Hello Jess,

It can take skin a few weeks to adjust to new products however, with acne it can take a little longer. Also, keep in mind that you may still experience breakouts. Topical products will help to prevent and treat existing breakouts. It is also important to exfoliate and use a clay based masque 2-3 times a week. For spot treating you can apply Emergency Spot Fix to kill bacteria and dry up breakouts.

                    Kindest Regards,
                    The Education Team
