I like it, but it's not really a "mask"

Comments about Dermalogica Clear Start Breakout Clearing Cooling Masque:

I bought this a few weeks ago when I went sort of "facemask happy" and bought a ton of stuff to try. A month or so ago I started taking pills for hair growth (HSN, Viviscal, biotin, niacin, the works), which are known for making you break out. Since I am pretty acne prone, I have been extremely diligent about my skincare routine. This mask definitely helps prevent acne from starting up, and it cools down the existing ones. I noticed the difference within a few days. While it didn't make my acne dissapear, it definitely helped it to be less noticeable. I still have dots, but they look more like rapidly fading acne scars than mt everest on my face. I am extremely happy with this and all the other products that I have been using to keep my skin clear because I have absolutely terrible skin, and i was pretty nervous about taking these pills. My skin is like, medication diagnosed from the doctor to help it bad. And now I have maybe one or two pimples that aren't very noticable. I would definitely recommend giving this product a try.

That being said, this doesn't really feel like a face mask. It doesn't harden or anything, it's like clear gel that just sits on your face and makes you look super shiny, but I'm not complaining because I guess it works!

Comments about Dermalogica Clear Start Breakout Clearing Cooling Masque:

I had a trip to Costa Rica over the summer, which is extremely humid and my face was already broken out really badly. I took this masque with me and used it every other day. Not only did it clear up my preexisting acne, but it helped keep breaking out at a minimum! I wouldn't recommend using this every day if you have sensitive skin, but every other day for me worked great

      My poor skin

Comments about Dermalogica Clear Start Breakout Clearing Cooling Masque:

I am an employee at ULTA and received a trial size packet of this masque and went home that night and tried it. It does not look or apply like a masque at all (which isn't a problem, just giving information about it) it is a clear, non-drying substance that looks and feels and works exactly like a chemical peel. I do not have sensitive skin at all and I use chemical peels often for usually about ten minutes at a time without any effect. I put this on for ten minutes and the next day my face was red, raw and had bumps and hives all over. It is now two days later with no relief. My face is sore and itchy and burning. I read other reviews online that are similar to my experience. This does not work like a masque, but instead an incredibly potent chemical peel. I must now wait until my skin rejuvenates for me to get any relief. I recommend going into a store and asking for a sample cup (we give out generous samples for free) and taking it home and trying it on a small area of your skin for 5 min or less to see if you have the same reaction as me.
