Comments about Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation:

I have tried several different powders over the years and none have had the effect on my skin that this product does. I have some old acne scars, larger pores, and redness on my cheeks. Most foundations look great when I first apply them but by mid-day I would look oily and my powder looked "faded" This product stays on all day, full coverage, hides everything it needs to hide and I have even received compliments on my "new makeup" and how great my face looks! Not heavy at all! Combine this with a primer, foundation, then a set in spray and you will look great all day!

Comments about Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation:

I purchased this with the Airbuki brush and have loved it. The coverage is definitely buildable, but I still need concealer to cover bad blemishes or acne scars. The thing I love most is it doesn't look or feel like I'm wearing foundation- it melts into the skin and just looks like I have a perfect complexion. It is easy to apply. I used BareMinerals in the past and it always looked like I was wearing makeup. This product is far better than BareMinerals in that way. It also isn't completely matte, which I like. I have tried it with a few primers (Tarte's BB cream, ELF primer, Hourglass, MUFE, Laura Mercier Radiant Primer) and Hourglass' primer seems to work the best so far. I have been on the hunt for a nice foundation that matches my light olive toned skin and I feel like I've finally found it!

Comments about Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation:

I saw a review for this foundation on my favorite beauty blog and they mentioned that it was more medium coverage than full, so I knew going in what to expect. It is definitely not full coverage. I am 26 and blessed with good skin so I like a light to medium coverage and love a lightweight powder so this foundation is perfect for me. I have sensitive skin but I haven;t had any irritation or breakouts from this product like some other reviewers have mentioned. I also purchased the Tarte Buki brush to apply this foundation with and I LOVE it, so much nicer on my face than my old Bare Minerals buki brush, this one is soft on my skin.

I really wanted to love this, I kept it for several weeks in hopes that eventually I would figure out the key to making it last, but sadly that never happened. First, it goes on great and for the first hour its on my skin looks flawless. Then, it just disappears. I tried using a BB cream under it, a primer under it, I used too much, still it disappeared. I was really disappointed because it was the first makeup that really matched my skin tone.

Comments about Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation:

Looked beautiful when I first put it on: it has a great, natural color that makes skin glow. However, it didn't take long for it to completely irritate my skin and cause breakouts. I didn't want to give this up, but in addition to creating breakouts- it just didn't cover them either. As soon as I stopped using this foundation, my skin started clearing up. Bummer.

I think it would work best for normal skin that isn't particularly sensitive or acne prone.

Awesome product! I went from using liquid foundation to bare minerals and now I am set on tarte. It is extremely light weight and last all day (unlike bare minerals). I have oily skin and my face isn't shine city by the end of the day. I can see where issues would arise if you are acne prone or have sensitive skin, fortunately I do not classify as either so this product is perfect for my skin type.

Comments about Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation:

I was super excited to try this product, I was hoping it would be a nice alternative to heavy liquid foundation for summer. I live in the south, so the humidity and the temperatures are insanely high. The packaging for this product is lovely, and how it minimizes the need for shaking the powder out (like with bare minerals.) The product was lacking, very sheer coverage, and althought it felt nice on the skin, it had no lasting effect. The color choices were nice, and the color matched, but I found that the powder broke my skin out and become very oily. I tried using it as a finishing powder, but it made my foundation oxidize heavily (which isn't normal for me.) But lets be honest, $30+ is a little pricey for a finishing powder. This product would be worth a try if you were looking for sheer coverage, and had dry/normal/mature skin.

I use this product to put over a cc cream and I had to return it because once i let it set for an hour it felt really thick and it made my skin itchy. My upper lip broke out and when I returned it to the store the lady who worked there said it made her skin itchy also. Definitely not good for sensitive skin.

is the liquid foundation or the powder better? also if I'm a shade 15 in the new liquid foundation by bare minerals, what shade would i be in this powder product?

Both the liquid and powder formulas provide full coverage and are formulated with the skin-friendly benefits of Amazonian Clay. The main difference is the consistency of each. We recommend testing both products at your nearest ULTA store to see which you prefer. Tan Sand for tan skin with golden undertones may be your best match.
