too yellow.

Comments about Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation:

I tried nearly every shade and had two Ulta employees help me, but all the shades were so yellow. :( I am so bummed because this foundation sounds so amazing. I have fair neutral undertones, not pink, but each shade was just awful on me. The last guy that helped me, matched me to the IT cosmetics pressed powder in fair, so I'm going to give that a shot. I'm just really disappointed in the color range.

Comments about Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation:

I could never figure out how to cover my face and some of the larger pores this makeup does just that. My only "complaint" is being a budget buyer this make up is pricey and I can only find it in one store which is ulta where I can't use coupons toward it and because of acne issues I use make up everyday. So it adds up BUT again it's been the best.

Comments about Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation:

Okay I was super skeptical. I went into Ulta to get IT cosmetics full coverage pressed powder. I had used it a few times and liked it, but one of the workers convinced me to try this. I used it for the first time today and it worked AMAZING. I got minor chemical burns on my face this morning due to a pipe busting in my city and my water not working when I tried washing off my face. This makeup used on top of my Physicians Formula CC cream covered up all the redness for my whole eight hour shift, also, my face is normally really oily after work (probably from my CC cream) my makeup looked as if I just applied it when I got off work. The only thing I didn't like was I felt like I had make-up on all day, but that may have just been to burning my face this morning.

Comments about Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation:

Before this, I had never bought any expensive makeup. I always went drug store brands that were on sale. I have always had problems with acne and had tried everything I could find to stop it. I talked with an Ulta employee, and she recommended me a buffering lotion for my cystic acne and this foundation. I used to use cheap liquid foundation, but I will never go back. I was apprehensive that a powder could cover like a liquid, but the coverage is SO MUCH BETTER! My face looks clearer than it has since puberty (and I'm 26!)! It covers any acne scars or red spots and goes on smoothly and even. It only takes a little, and my first purchase lasted me 5 or 6 months. I love this stuff!

FINALLY a powder foundation that applies evenly, looks natural, and controls oil. Have been using Bare Minerals for years and have always felt frustrated with the results. This stuff is leaps and bounds better.

I have tried several different powders over the years and none have had the effect on my skin that this product does. I have some old acne scars, larger pores, and redness on my cheeks. Most foundations look great when I first apply them but by mid-day I would look oily and my powder looked "faded" This product stays on all day, full coverage, hides everything it needs to hide and I have even received compliments on my "new makeup" and how great my face looks! Not heavy at all! Combine this with a primer, foundation, then a set in spray and you will look great all day!

Comments about Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation:

I purchased this with the Airbuki brush and have loved it. The coverage is definitely buildable, but I still need concealer to cover bad blemishes or acne scars. The thing I love most is it doesn't look or feel like I'm wearing foundation- it melts into the skin and just looks like I have a perfect complexion. It is easy to apply. I used BareMinerals in the past and it always looked like I was wearing makeup. This product is far better than BareMinerals in that way. It also isn't completely matte, which I like. I have tried it with a few primers (Tarte's BB cream, ELF primer, Hourglass, MUFE, Laura Mercier Radiant Primer) and Hourglass' primer seems to work the best so far. I have been on the hunt for a nice foundation that matches my light olive toned skin and I feel like I've finally found it!

Comments about Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation:

I saw a review for this foundation on my favorite beauty blog and they mentioned that it was more medium coverage than full, so I knew going in what to expect. It is definitely not full coverage. I am 26 and blessed with good skin so I like a light to medium coverage and love a lightweight powder so this foundation is perfect for me. I have sensitive skin but I haven;t had any irritation or breakouts from this product like some other reviewers have mentioned. I also purchased the Tarte Buki brush to apply this foundation with and I LOVE it, so much nicer on my face than my old Bare Minerals buki brush, this one is soft on my skin.

        • Q:

is the liquid foundation or the powder better? also if I'm a shade 15 in the new liquid foundation by bare minerals, what shade would i be in this powder product?

            A:

Both the liquid and powder formulas provide full coverage and are formulated with the skin-friendly benefits of Amazonian Clay. The main difference is the consistency of each. We recommend testing both products at your nearest ULTA store to see which you prefer. Tan Sand for tan skin with golden undertones may be your best match.
