    Comments about Dermablend Cover Creme:

I heard the hype on this product, and even though I didnt want to give in to it... I decided to give it a try. I have freckles that go from left to right across my face that I wanted to completely cover without having to cake on makeup. Dermablend does the job. Just a little goes a LONG way. I used the spatula to scoop out just a tad and used the back of my hand to warm up the product. This allows the product to spread evenly and thinly on your face. I used a duo fibre brush to apply the foundation.
I am also a freelance makeup artist, I began using this product to cover up red spots, dark spots on clients faces before using their actual foundation color, and this works wonders. I love it.

After a dermatologist removed a small skin cancer I was left with 2 ugly scars. I was very self conscious. I researched several different products that promised miracle coverage. Dermablends rep sold me into purchasing the product. My only concern was how to find my correct shade. The professionals at ulta helped me find my shade and showed me how to apply and gave me some valuable tips.

                        Comments about Dermablend Cover Creme:

I purchased this product to conceal cyst acne on my chin. It worked so well that I now use it under my eyes and over dark brown freckles on my cheeks. I like a full coverage when going out, so I use a heavy powder over the concealer. The cover creme can be applied for daily use without a setting powder and still give full coverage.

                        Comments about Dermablend Cover Creme:

My skin is rather dry and I have acne (generally nodular) and hyperpigmentation. I often feel like my skin is an anomaly and that it's the worst of all worlds. After doing much research on full coverage foundations, trying just about everything, and reading reviews here and elsewhere, I decided to give Dermablend a shot. I'm writing this review after having used an entire container and reading hundreds of reviews.

I think a lot of the problem people are having with Cover Creme is in the application. I recommend going to Dermablend's website and watching their video, which gives a great step-by-step breakdown by someone that has vitiligo and uses the product. The problem I think many people are having is that they're not warming the product up like it needs to be--and if you're not doing that and just going straight to application, it's going to be cake-y, not to mention how greasy it'll be from using too much.

I've applied the product in many ways, using many techniques. I've tried it with my fingers, foundation brushes, sponges, with primer, without primer, you name it. This is the way I found it works best:

I take a small amount of product, put it on the back of my hand, and with my finger I rub it in a small circle until it warms up and becomes quite creamy--almost liquidy. Then, with the residual on my finger, I rub that onto my skin in one area (e.g. forehead, cheeks, chin, etc.). I then take a beauty blender, dab it in the excess on the back of my hand, and begin to blend the area out into a more even layer. My initial goal is not for 'perfect coverage,' but an even layer, which usually means that there will be areas that look like they've barely been covered. After I've done my whole face, I go back to the initial area and layer more product over the areas I still feel need more coverage. If you're as picky and a perfectionist as I am, this can take quite a bit of work.

After the application is said and done, I'm quite pleased with the uniformity. I'd say that it makes my skintone about 95-98% even. It might just be psychological, but I never feel like I achieve 100% evenness. I'm very fair-skinned with some yellow undertones, but because I have a lot of redness, I use the Warm Ivory shade. Initially this looked like it may be a tiny bit too dark for me, but because it needs to cover everything, I find this shade works perfectly. What I can say about this product, however, is that it needs to be set. I wish this weren't the case.

My issue with this product comes in having to set it. I've tried setting it with different powders, mineral powders, translucent and colored, from different brands and Dermablend's own. The instructions are to set it using a generous amount of product, leave it for at least two minutes and then go back and dust off the excess. Because I have dry skin, the powder automatically clings and makes it difficult to get rid of any excess. I feel like it causes my skin to break out because after it's put on, there's no way for the skin to breathe. After about 8 hours, my skin looks like it's cracking and starts to flake off in certain areas. The powder makes it look drier and crepe-y; though, I will say that after a few hours it begins to look a little better once it settles. But if that weren't enough, the setting powder causes me to look white--a striking contrast from the beautiful color and glow of the Cover Creme.

I can see how this product would be difficult for people with oily skin since this product is mineral oil based. So, I think I'd only recommend it if you use a really good mattifying primer. For those with dry skin, I think you'll encounter the same issue as I have. In my opinion, this product is probably best suited for those with normal to combination skin.

For the interim, I think this product will do. Perhaps I need to experiment more. Unfortunately, however, I don't think my search is over.

Dermablend Cover Creme features a full coverage formula that can function as concealer or foundation. It blends smoothly and evenly for a natural looking effect - never cakey or masky. It provides max coverage, so it can certainly be used to conceal discoloration and redness.

Rose Beige is the most similar shade to Bisque in the Smooth Liquid Camo. We suggest testing this shade at your nearest ULTA store:
                            http://www.ulta.com/ulta/stores/storelocator.jsp

The main differences between the Smooth Liquid Camo and the Cover Creme are the texture/consistency and the level of coverage. Smooth Liquid Camo is more similar to a traditional liquid foundation and provides medium coverage, while Cover Creme is much thicker in consistency and provides full coverage.

Dermablend Cover Creme provides smudge- and transfer-resistant wear for up to 16 hours when used with Dermablend Setting Powder. A better option for the body may be the Leg and Body Cover or the Quick Fix Body:

These, too, provide smudge- and transfer-resistant wear for up to 16 hours when used with Dermablend Setting Powder.

I have oily skin, acne scars, cystic acne, and just acne in general, would this be better than using the Kat Von D locket tattoo foundation? Will it break me out?

Dermablend products are dermatologist-tested, noncomedogenic (do not clog pores), and nonacnegenic (do not cause acne). They are also allergy-tested, sensitive skin-tested, and fragrance-free.
