Comments about John Frieda Hairsetter 2 Inch Rollers:

the five rollers are not enough for all of your hair, regardless of your hair type. If you put too much hair in the curlers they are too heavy and wont stay in place so you won't be getting volume. The worst part is the clips. They leave AWFUL creases.

These were perfect size for smoothing my natural curly hair heated well compact size but not enough rollers to finish the job. Easy to use if you have done hot rollers before, all one size so easy to slip back in place when removing.

Comments about John Frieda Hairsetter 2 Inch Rollers:

First of all there are only 5 rollers, which is not nearly enough to cover my shoulder length hair. I wanted to used the 2" rollers to get more lift at the crown of my hair, and to smooth out the frizziness, but did not get the results I was looking for.

Maybe these rollers would be best used by someone with longer thinner hair.

Comments about John Frieda Hairsetter 2 Inch Rollers:

I've been using heat rollers, curling irons or hair straighteners since the 70's so these aren't "new" to me except for the size. I just love the look of the 2 inch rollers. It truly gives my hair a salon style that I only got after having my hair styled professionally. I have very fine below the shoulder layered hair that luckily curls easily. The kind that when wet looks like a skinny rat tail! I always have to blow it out or it looks flat. I use one at my forehead (I don't include my long side swept bangs), the crown and back of my head. All curling towards the back. The sides are rolled under. These large rollers are perfect, however... I don't know who/what/how/why the clips ever passed the final marketing process. The rollers hold okay at the sides, crown and back since the weight naturally goes downward (at least in my case). The one at my forehead flops around like a dead fish! It tends to fall forward onto my forehead and then leaves a significant crease in the wave. I tried using some other hair clips, but I haven't found one that works. Bottom line - If these were the only 2 inch rollers available I would keep them and be very happy! But they aren't so I'm returning them to try another 2 inch heat roller product at Ulta. More Big Curls by Conair or Xfiniti Pro Conair which has 8 rollers although their reviews also have many complaints about the clips! (We can send a man to the moon, but we can't secure a roller without creating a crease. Smh) Having at least 6 rollers would be better for me anyway. Maybe I'll throw a shower cap over them all!

Comments about John Frieda Hairsetter 2 Inch Rollers:

I use to give big curls to my wavy hair. However, the ion part did not take away my frizz. The clips do not fit securely enough and the rollers are heavy so they kept falling down and would not hold the hair tight enough to work properly. Needs stronger and heavy duty clips. Size of the rollers are nice and big. You can only use when your hair is dry. Wish I could find hot rollers I could use when hair s damp that would help dry the hair to set it.

Comments about John Frieda Hairsetter 2 Inch Rollers:

I bought these to add volume without curls to my straight hair. The clips provided with the roller cause kinks and creases near the scalp no matter how I put them in. The rollers don't seem to get very hot. They do add a nice little "flip under" to the bottom of my hair and make it look smooth, but what is the point if the top is full of creases. And they don't really add volume.

Comments about John Frieda Hairsetter 2 Inch Rollers:

I recommend looking at the roller set before you buy. I wanted the conair set because it has more rollers but the one set in stock was covered in hair and the clips were missing so I got this instead. It doesn't heat up enough and I wish it had more rollers. It does create body and straightens my hair somewhat but it leaves waves so that it looks messy. I have another set of rollers that are size 1 3/4 and they heat up much more and smooth out all of my waves but they also create too much curl on the ends. I like this size roller much better if only they would heat up. Also, the clips are cheap and flimsy. Since there are only 5, if one breaks that is a problem.
