The Body Shop Difference: The high quality olive oil in Teh Body Shop's Olive range is organically grown and produced by their Community Trade partner, Nuevo Cliento co-operative, in southwest Italy. Olive oil production in this area goes back to the Middle Ages when Benedictine Monks planted olive groves on the hillside. Since it was founded in 1976, the co-op has helped to revive the olive oil industry in the region and revitalize the local economy. Now with some 250 members, the co-op is one of the largest producers of organic olive oil in Italy, where they are helping to preserve traditional culture and the environment.How it works:
