This is a very fun red just as it's name! It actually make my skin look brighter and no matter what I wear, it lights up the entire outfit. The color is just like the color of those giant oriental lanterns. I usually apply two coats only without any base or top coat, so if you use top coat, your polish might last logner than 3 days without chips.

The thing about opi nail lacquers is that you can't expected them to dry well and not chip. Most of the polishes are extremely streaky for "high end" nail polish. The glitters are the only polishes I enjoy from this line, but I always have a professional do my nails because opi is so difficult to work with. Great color choices but the consistency is mediocre compared to other expensive nail polishes I prefer. Even some drug store brands are better quality.

I really like pink nail polishes, and Japanese Rose Garden was no exception. Nice light warm pink color that applied wonderfully. All I used was a base, didn't need to use a top coat because the nail polish itself left a nice shine.
