Comments about St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse:

I've used St. Tropez products regularly for almost 4 years, and the Bronzing Mousse was my favorite. It always applied easily and dried quickly. It gave me a gorgeous, natural, even tan that always left people surprised that it came from a bottle.
I recently purchased a new bottle and was very disappointed to find that the formula changed for the worse.
Even with an applicator mitt, the new formula was very difficult to apply since it streaked across the skin instead of absorbing quickly. The mousse stayed wet on the top layer of my skin for much longer than I am used to, and I could not bend my elbows, knees or torso without creating obvious creases. Even after standing in front of a fan for 15 minutes, once I got dressed, the tan streaked and wore off certain parts of my legs.
I loved the low-maintenance application process of the old formula; it always came out so natural! The only good thing I can mention about this new formula is the smell... It smells like cake batter!

Comments about St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse:

I love this product! The face that it gives me a quick tan as soon as you apply you see the color right away and it prevents from missing any spots. The slight green under tone makes your tan VERY natural and doesn't turn you orange at all. I can wear this all day because the color gaurd and you barely have the "self tan odor". I'm very pale and this makes me dark in a natural look!
I highly suggest using a mitt! Because it's a mousse I wouldn't use with your hands or gloves. This allows you to buff it so it's visibly even and easy to apply.
The product does dry fast but hours after you can still feel it on your skin. If I shower I can visibly notice the difference so I have to put it on everyday. Also don't plan on wearing anything white if you put it on in the morning. I also notice a slight color transfers onto the underwire area of my bras. Since this tanner is very expensive I'm moving to drugstore products.

Comments about St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse:

I found this product to be quite nice for a first time self tanner user. It went on quite easily and doesn't have a harsh smell. The actually tan is very natural looking for someone like me who is quite pale some days. So to have an even overall tone is great!
I just wish it dried a little faster. I ended up rubbing some of the tanner off of my calves in my sleep and had to retouch them when I got up. Other than that, I would recommend this product.

Comments about St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse:

I have just recently purchased my third med size bottle! Hands down HG!

Color pay off is natural and flawless. Never look over tanned or unnatural. Very easy to apply, the mitt it incredible! Color guide is very accurate and reliable. Smells almost of a floral fragrance. I feel it doesn't so much "wear" off as it does just fade. Tan fades in a very evenly, I have never gotten splotchy or patchy.

I use about once weekly then supplement with the St Tropez Gradual Tan Lotion another one to two days throughout the week to maintain the deepest color pay off. I have used the tanning mousse two nights in a row still getting a very natural tan just much deeper.

Comments about St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse:

I was told by numerous people that this product is a "must have." Unfortunately, I didn't get the same reaction. One problem was that it took three separate uses before I noticed a color forming. I like a fast tan and like to apply ever three days or so, but with St. Tropez I had to apply nightly. It also dried too fast. I know that doesn't seem like a Con, but I found it hard to spread because it dried on my skin so quickly. My biggest issue was that it turned my hands orange. I always wash my hand throughly after, but that wasn't enough. The next morning I had super orange palms and since I had to continue applying nightly it was hard to get the orange to go away since it dried so fast. Ultimately, I was disappointed. Definitely buy the small $18 bottle first. It's not cheap so I wouldn't buy the $32 bottle until you know for sure that you like it. I would also invest in the applicator mitt to avoid the orange palm problem. Although the mitt is available to purchase, I've used other products that do not alter my palm color without using a mitt. That is why I am listing the orange palms as a con.

Comments about St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse:

As I get older I just can't do the tanning bed thing anymore so I've been a self tanner for abt three summers. I've tried just about EVERYTHING on the market and have spent well over $250 in self tanning products that claim to work, not turn you orange, go on evenly...blah, blah blah. ST. TROPEZ is FINALLY a product that holds up to it's claim. Since I'm a review gal myself I thought I would give you some tips that may be helpful. As with any product first shave, exfoliate and moisturize. As it is directed lotion up those knees, elbows, ankles and even wrist area ( just on the bony parts) the mitt is a MUST for 6.50..I recommend applying this product in front of a mirror. this was helpful to see where I was missing and getting things even. It is a tinted product so it's very nice to see where the color is going and will turn darker in abt 4- 6 hours. I applied the color to my legs outside in the sunlight. I think this was a huge part of my success with how even I was able to get it. This product is a nice brown color, NO ORANGE LADIES..not even in the slightest. I do shower daily so it doesn't last more than three days (moisturizing after every shower will help to keep it) They offered a free gift of the lotion but of course was out when I purchased so I was highly bummed abt that but all in all it cost abt 50.00 bucks for the big bottle (which I would take the risk and buy cause you will love it) and the mitt ( you have to get the mitt) Also I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin as far as my face goes and I did apply it there with no problems.. Hope this helps all you self tanners out there!!!

Comments about St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse:

I needed to get tan without looking like an oompa loompa and i needed to do it basically 3 hours before a wedding. I've never used self tanner before and I just had to guts to slap this stuff on 3 times before the wedding and I didn't have the slightest worry about looking bad. I ended up having a rocking' glowing tan and everyone thought I spent a week in Mexico. I would highly suggest this. I would honestly, use it more wisely and start using it a few days before a big event instead of slapping this sucker on 3 times every 4 hours before a HUGE event, but it didn't backfire, so I would say its a great product!

Comments about St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse:

I use this mousse year 'round, usually about once every two weeks. I have VERY fair skin (ghostlike even). Every time I use this, people tell me how "tan" I look, and when I tell them it was fake tanner they are shocked. The color almost looks green when you first apply it, but it ends up looking completely natural, no orange whatsoever. The thing I love most about this brand is the smell though. This is the only tanner I've ever used that didn't smell so strongly like fake tanner that my husband wouldn't come near me. This stuff smells very lightly of tanner and is covered by a pleasant but light fragrance. I was hesitant to spend this much on a fake tanner, but it is SO worth it! Make sure you use a tanning mitt. Spread quickly, especially on your face. If it is left on one spot longer than a few seconds without being blended, it will leave a dark spot.

            good but not great

            By Holly

            from Las Vegas

Comments about St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse:

when I first applied the mousse I loved it. it was easy to apply, didn't smell bad and looked great. the color however only lasted about two days. and now it's a week later (haven't had the time to reapply) and it is fading so horribly uneven. I have brown patches everywhere and it doesn't seem to matter how much I scrub. I look ridiculous lol. I exfoliated before use and moisturize daily so this is weird. I probably won't buy again. sad face. I really wanted to love this.
