Having been very familiar with the previous version of this box, I purchased this item without much debate. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a mistake. Gone is the easy-to-apply, inky black, water-based Front of the Line Pro. The gel liner in this kit goes on lighter and fades/smudges as the day wears on. It is imposisble to get and keep a straight, clean line. It also cakes in my lashes, regardless of how carefully it is applied. Speaking of lashes, the mascara is so thick and clumpy that one is forced to scrub the wand dry with a tissue before application, and if there is any trace of gel liner left in the lashes, the resulting sticky mess will be impossible to salvage. This product does little to lengthen my lashes, and this effect is, like the awful gel liner, ridiculously temporary. The eyeshadow trio in this version is dramatically (surprisingly!) darker than the last, rendering it completely unsuitable for every day wear, but the quality is the same as ever. The eyeshadow primer, at least, remains exactly as it was from the previous version of this box. It works splendidly. The only improvement to this little kit is the eyeshadow brush. Please, Lorac, bring back the previous version of this box! This used to be a great value for money and an excellent intro to the Lorac brand.

Thicker brush to apply eyeliner or an eyeliner pencil for a thicker line.
The eyeshadow brush is great. The eyeshadow colors blend so easily it looks beautiful all day long. Many compliments from co-workers! The mascara and eyelid primer are great too!
