Comments about Garnier Olia Oil-Powered Permanent Color:

This was my first time ever coloring my hair myself, I had always gone to a salon. The instructions were super easy and the results were great. I was a light brown with some honey highlights from the sun and I used the dark brown and it gave me a shiny chocolate color. Very happy with the results :)

Comments about Garnier Olia Oil-Powered Permanent Color:

I started using this color because I was looking for a blue based red as I don't want orange hair. This is the only company that makes one. I use Light Garnet Red. I love the color and the way the product smells but that is where the love ends. The product is not great for your hair like it claims. I used to bleach my hair out to a platinum shade and it didn't feel this dry after. I have to condition my hair multiple times to get a comb through it after using this. The conditioner that comes with it smells great but doesn't work at all. I suggest using a different deep conditioner after. All of the packaging is completely unnecessary. They need to put the developer in the applicator and change the design of the applicator bottle. It is terrible. I will keep using this product as long as they are the only ones that make a blue based red. I was using Vidal Sassoon before this and it is a much better product.

Comments about Garnier Olia Oil-Powered Permanent Color:

garnet red, 5.60, I believe.. I had to use a total of 5... That's FIVE... boxes of this dye to cover all the patches, sploches, and different colors this dye put in my hair the first go around. To start I had used two boxes to cover and completely saturate every strand of my hair. Thought it was all good that night when I washed it out.

That is, until the next morning, when I met my mom and sister for lunch and they were both looking at me from under their raised brows. Eventually, asking why the I looked like a calico cat. I have pics for proof xD... In daylight there were painfully Obvious brown spots All-Over-My-Head!!! So I bought another box and went over the patches... Nothing.. Absolutely nothing but a waste of time.

I figured it must have been my hair, maybe build up or protein?.. impossible, I only use water soluble ingredients/products in my hair... Regardless, I did a clarifying wash and balanced the PH in my hair. Then bought a few more boxes, tin foil, dye bowl, and a tinting brush. I took hours upon hours seperating sections, carefully dying patches, wrapping in foil, and waiting. Again, for nothing. The patches were smaller but still there. Garnier ended up sending me coupons to buy more of their products that don't work.. riiiiight. /:

My once lower back length hair has now been SO damaged that it's litterally been breaking off with each brushing. It's now up to the middle of my back ):

Save yourself the damage, money, and time by using a normal ammonia box dye. If you have to use an ammonia free dye 5 times it defeats the purpose of having a gentler product. The ammonia replacement is worse for your hair then the actual ammonia anyway.

Comments about Garnier Olia Oil-Powered Permanent Color:

I have done hair professional in the past. I have been coloring hair with professional and home color for decades. I normally use Herbashine and LOVE IT. They were out of the color my daughter wanted. Seeing the trusted Garnier name we picked up the Olia in the same shade. My daughters hair turned out streaky and the color was flat and frankly a bit off. It RAVISHED her hair. Made it so dry it was near impossible to comb. Called Garnier and they were frankly not surprised and refunded sent coupons for free deep conditioning products. After 2 weeks of nearly nightly deep conditioning we gave up and cut 8 inches off her hair leaving only enough to put back in a very short pony. THIS PRODUCT NEEDS TO BE PULLED FROM THE STORES ASAP!
