This works great at smoothing my thick coarse hair. I leave it in for about 5 min after shampooing and it makes my haor very soft. smells good too.

I LOVE this stuff! I typically buy more high end hair products but got this as a sample from Ulta and found it worked just as well. I highly recommend this!

      I purchased this product ...

      By Jessglitteryrainbows

Comments about L'Oréal Total Repair 5 Damage-Erasing Balm:

I purchased this product after my hair began feeling dry from too many drastic dye jobs (i.e. dark black to bleach blonde, to bright pink, to deep purple, to cold black with red streaks etc). My hair had been through a lot and needed a lot of love to repair the damage that I had caused. Within a week of using Total repair 5 my hair became less dry and appeared healthier, after two weeks my hair was softer and had regained its sleek shine, within a month my hair was back to normal, and I loved it!!

I wanted to like this but it did nothing to my hair.
It was the exact same. Never saw any improvement of any kind. I found this to be a waste of time and money.
          I will not be repurchasing.

Comments about L'Oréal Total Repair 5 Damage-Erasing Balm:

I love this product. I have used it 3 times in the past week and it has transformed my color- treated dry hair to silky and smooth looking. It has removed all frizz as well. I run some serum in my wet hair then blow dry and this combo has really smoothed out my hair cuticle and made it feel so soft and touchable. I have lots of fine hair with a good wave, with a diffuser it would come out very curly. I blow dry it with a large brush first, then a paddle to straighten it out a bit. This has helped manage the dryness without weighing it down. I'm hooked!

            good for damage

            By Kate

Comments about L'Oréal Total Repair 5 Damage-Erasing Balm:

I've tried a lot of moisturizing products and a friend recommended this to me. I started using it with my normal shampoo and conditioner and it worked really well, however when I switched to the shampoo/conditioner set to go with it, my hair started to dry out. This product works so well for damage control but if you want something strictly for moisture I don't recommend this one.
