I have "aging" hair, I guess. It is fine and medium thick, shoulder length. I have had blonde highlights that I am slowing returning back to a light brown color, which is healthier for hair than stripping it with highlights. I am always on the lookout for lightweight moisture products. The Nexxus line has been the best I've found. I typically use the Humectress Spray Leave-In Conditioner after a shower. Thought I would try this new anti-aging line. The product is great, but so far I don't think it's any better than the leave-in conditioner I mentioned. I don't care for the spray bottle, as it does not deliver a fine mist, but a rather coarse spray which makes it harder to cover your head. So I spray and work it in with my fingers and then use a wide tooth comb. It also serves well as a styling aide. I find I don't need to apply additional gel spray to get my hair to curl or style well.

I wanted to give this a try because the root lifter I was currently using (big sexy hair root pump plus) was drying out my hair too much, and this has better ingredients. After using this product several times I realized it just isn't for me. My hair felt too greasy and heavy even by using very sparingly. My hair did feel a lot thicker but it felt too greasy and it just took longer to fix my hair. It not a horrible product but just not exactly what I want. Instead I fell in love with Blow root lift concentrate, very lightweight and gave my hair plenty of volume.

This really does add volume. I have only used it before the Elixer, so I don't know how it works as a stand-alone product. I went to the Nexxus website and watched the video on how to use this product, and recommend you do as well. If you use it with the Elixer, you will get full, shiney hair that moves and "swings." This is one of the few products that makes my dry, color-treated, naturally gray hairs move naturally like it did when I was younger.

I have fine hair. This product does not flatten my hair. It has a nice smell. I do not like the spray cap as it moves around while using. It adds a lot of body, but seems to leave my hair a bit frizzy.
