Comments about Urban Decay Cosmetics Naked Basics:

I'm going to start out saying this is my first "high end" makeup purchase. I've always just gotten what was on sale at my local drugstores. Boy have I been missing out! I have blue eyes, red/brown/blonde hair and my skin is light to medium light. I LOVE the neutral colours! I feel like a pro with the ease of blending this shadow gives. I wear it everyday and it only takes about 10 minutes to complete a look. It is very wearable for work, and if I happen to go out that night it's a breeze to come home and build on for a more dramatic look. Although I haven't ever been able to pull off wearing black eye shadow, I use "Crave" as an eyeliner and it gives me the softest eyeliner look ever. I haven't touched an eyeliner pencil since getting this palette.

While the price is more than I really care to pay for, I say it is most definitely worth it! You get what you pay for! It takes a light touch of the brush so I'm not having to cake on the product for good pigmentation. That is a problem I've always had with the cheaper ( not to name names) eye shadows. It lasts through my work shifts which are normally 7 am to 6pm. I use the Two Face shadow insurance eyelid primer underneath to help as well. The product itself is smooth like silk and I honestly believe even using it everyday it'll last me quite a while. I think this palette would work great as a gift for a beginner as well! I am going to end with that because honestly I could go on and on about how much I love this product!

Comments about Urban Decay Cosmetics Naked Basics:

Went to Ulta to buy the Naked 2 palette, but as I was looking it turned out that this smaller, more affordable palette had my favorite colour from Naked 2 AND some from Naked. Was very happy with the price, and the palette itself, though it is only matte colours. I like the mattes, though. Very happy.

Comments about Urban Decay Cosmetics Naked Basics:

This palatte has a nice mix of basic colors. I tend to use it the most of all the eye shadow palattes I have. It lasts all day. Only issue I have was that after the first couple uses, the mirror popped off. So every time I open it, I have to push the mirror back in to get it to stick on the adhesive...a little annoying.

              Nice, compact

              By asimpleduty

              from Houston, TX

Comments about Urban Decay Cosmetics Naked Basics:

First, the packaging has a nice, soft texture; however, the mirror on mine falls out and doesnt stick to the glue. Great colors in a great light to dark range. Love the matte selection. Very blendable. No noticeable fallout. Compact and good for travel, though youd need to bring your own brush, as this does not have one. Shade-wise this would be a 5/5, but due to mirror issue Ill give a 4.

Comments about Urban Decay Cosmetics Naked Basics:

I really wanted to like this product as I wanted matte and neutral colors. However, it irritated my eyes terribly (eyes burned and totally bloodshot); I was fair and tried it for a few days but problem persisted. Also, difficult to blend-looked choppy on lid, not a really great smokey eye look. Therefore, I had to return it. It has extreme fallout (flaking) - don't know if that is what caused the problem or if I was allergic to an ingredient. I then bought a Stila palette from Ulta and did not have any problem - the redness and irritation has gone away and I found them much easier to blend for that smokey eye look.

The shades in Naked2 Basics are slightly cooler toned (taupe-hued) than those in the original Naked Basics palette. All shades in both palettes are matte and neutral, so they work perfectly for all complexions! We suggest testing both palettes at your nearest ULTA store:

Naked2 Basics' eyeshadows are cooler in tone than those within the Naked Basics palette, but both palettes are still universally flattering on all skin tones! Either would be a great choice for you. We recommend visiting your nearest ULTA store to test the shades of both palettes to see which you prefer:
