I saw many reviews on the odd smell. This is not any worse than other hairsparys that are strong hold. It is just not fragranced. It has an odd but not offensive scent that dissipates quickly.

The spray is very light but has excellent hold. The odor is a bit unusual but dissipates thru the day. Hair is slightly crunchy so this is not a "run your hands thru kinds of spray" I like it for work since it needs to hold all day. If you do not mind the texture on your hair for a date it does really hold.
