Comments about Ultra CHI Red 1-1/2 Inch Flat Iron:

The Ultra Chi is so great. I love that it heats up quickly and straightens my natural 4a/4b WoC hair efficiently without making it limp or crunchy/tangled. You really cannot use a lot of product on your hair with this flat iron! You have to follow the directions of your hair protectant (aka Just a dime.) Saves me so much time when wearing straight styles.

Comments about Ultra CHI Red 1-1/2 Inch Flat Iron:

I use flat irons everyday. I was very excited about this flat iron when I ordered it, however; the first time I uses it I was extremely disappointed. You have no control over the heat setting and it did not get hot enough for my hair. I had to go over each piece at least 5 times for it to get straight. Mid day my hair looked like it had never been straightened to begin with. It was awful.

Comments about Ultra CHI Red 1-1/2 Inch Flat Iron:

I have used Chi straighteners in the past and have always been very happy with them. I like to try out different brands once in awhile, so I bought a Sedu 1 1/2" straightener and have loved it. It doesn't seem to get as hot anymore, so I knew it was time for a new straightener. Thought I'd give Chi a try again. I've tried out this one and a 1" version and returned both of them. They do not grip my hair very well at all! My hair is not super thick, but it's not thin, either. Both of the Chi straighteners did straighten my hair well, but my arm was extremely tired/worn out afterward! I took the both back and opted to spend a little more and bought a Babyliss straightener. I love it!

I have really thick, curly hair and this flat iron works great! It used to take me 30-45mins. to straighten my hair, but this has cut the time down to 15 min. Amazing!! I highly recommend it.

Love this straightener! I had the smaller sized Chi prior to this one, but my hair is super long and thick and the small one just took way too much time. I can wear my hair in a ponytail all day and still am able to straighten out the crease no problem.

Comments about Ultra CHI Red 1-1/2 Inch Flat Iron:

I just bought this straightener after previously owning a 1 inch Chi for almost four years. I was amazed at the price and couldn't pass it up. What a difference I've seen already! It straightens my hair so fast and heats up in about a minute. My hair is silky, smooth, and shiny all day! The 1 and a half inch is definitely a smart decision- I didn't realize how much of a difference it would make but it definitely has decreased hair straightening time by 50%. For the same price as the 1 inch, you can get half an inch more, it is definitely worth it!

This straightener is awesome. I used the regular CHI for a few years and although great, for the kind of (long and thick) hair I have, the wider plates on the ultra chi do a great job. Definitely recommend.

Both sizes of Ultra CHI Flat Iron work well for hair curling as well as straightening. If you desire bigger, fuller curls, pick this product (1-1/2"). If you have shoulder-length or shorter hair, we recommend using the 1" iron.
