Pros
- Concentrated Moisturizes
Cons
- none
Best Uses
- Wavy Hair Permed Hair
Love this product! I used to use Fresh Curls which I liked but this is even better. It puts moisture in my hair so it does not frizz and my curls look great. Good balance. Happy that there is little or no suds because the ingredients that create suds also cause drying. Also happy it is concentrated and I don't need to use too much so it lasts. Great shampoo and also conditioner. Thank you, Redken!

Pros
- Smells Great
Cons
- Greasy

Best Uses
I bought this for my dry curly hair. This product is really greasy - which, I didn't mind at first considering my hair is so dry. But it's super hard to wash out, and believe it or not my super dry hair looked like I hadn't washed it in weeks after using this product.

My stylist recommended. She warned me not to expect suds and I'm glad she prepared me for that.

It doesn't foam or suds up, and if you read the bottle you know this, so don't complain about that. However, it does work extremely well on my wavy hair. I love the fact that Redken has a WHOLE line of products devoted to my hair type!
So sad Redken decided to change their shampoo product line, I've been using Redken for years. The Smooth Down & Fresh Curls were so much better. Bought Smooth Lock, took it back immediately and tried the new Curvaceous and I cannot believe how lousy it is but I'm just going to toss it, would cost more in gas to take it back than it's worth. I have wavy hair, Smooth Down made my hair so nice and smooth, no frizz and it was a wonderful texture. Fresh Curls also did a great job on my hair. The texture of this shampoo does not give any foam (I know some folks like that) and it makes me feel like it's not cleaning my hair. Just don't like it... sorry... Goodbye Redken.
Pros
- Adds moisture to hair
Cons
- The smell
Best Uses
This product is awesome. I love it for my hair type. I have natural wavy to curly hair and I find that my hair is on the side of being frizzy during the winter season. This product adds moisture to my hair that prevent the frizz. I also use the conditioner and ringlet products. Yes, the smell is a little bit strong but I still like the smell though. That is the only con though is the smell. But I'm still giving this a 5 lips(stars) rating though because it is so hard for me to find hair products that work for my hair type. Good job Redken!
Pros
- Good Curls
- Low sudsing
- Soft Hair
Cons
- Fragrance Is Strong
- Low Sudsing
Best Uses
The shampoo is more creme based which creates low sudsing, which I think shows less soap chemicals (good). But you also have to get used to that and not keep pouring shampoo on your hair in the vain attempt to get a full lather or risk having greasy hair (bad). I learned to adjust my expectations on lathering with this product. Also the smell is overwhelming while washing my hair (bad) but it subsides significantly once it is dried (good). Hair feels soft, manageable, good curl action, smells good. So as long as I don't kill myself trying to lather like those shampoo TV commercials or faint from the fragrance, I like the way my hair looks and feels. :-)
Pros
- Makes hair manageable
Cons
- Litlle More Sudsing
Best Uses
would like a little more sudsing so that my husband wouldn't use so much
Use about 3 times a week
i have very thick, wavy hair and this took more shampoo to get my entire hair shampooed. this isnt worth the amount i would need to shampoo with.
