I actually work at Ulta and had been dying to try this line. I am very happy with the product and recommend it to many of our customers with curly or wavy hair. This product tremendously cut down the amount of products that I previously used (leave in conditioners, oils, volumizers, mouse, etc). Although it is a bit pricey, it is a product that can be used conservatively. For girls like me who use a lot of product in their hair, it will save you a lot of $$ by only needing one thing. It is great for dry hair since it contains no alcohols, and eliminates a lot of unwanted frizz! I believe the poor reviews are most likely from people who weren't quite sure how to use the product-- it could be sticky if put in hair that is dry. As far as I'm concerned, this product is a lifesaver!

The directions on the bottle say to scrunch it into hair and dry naturally or use a diffuser, I have NO curl to my hair whatsoever, and am using the product for texture on my super baby fine hair. I scrunch it into wet hair, then blow dry as usual, and it gives my hair body, texture, and shine. Great product!

I am so glad I found this product. I have very fine hair that, after blown dry, seemed to straighten out more than I wanted. My wet hair has very little wave. This product kept the wave and gave me the exact natural, touseled look that I wanted.

People fail to realize that the key to applying hair products to avoid crunchiness is to wait a few minutes after you wash/get out of the shower. Prep your skin, start applying your makeup, whatever. But just let your hair dry naturally, untouched, for a little while. Then, just when you think it's beginning to dry too much, bend over, shake your head a little to loosen your hair up and then scrunch the product in. But don't add a handful of product - not even the recommended amount. Use it sparingly at first and work your way up to the amount that suits your hair best. Diffuse until just before it's completely dry and let it dry naturally the rest of the time. By the time you're finished with makeup and putting on clothes you'll be able to shake it out a little more and work with it.
I've tried so many gels and creams on my thin, wavy/curly hair and spent so much money not finding anything that compares to my favorite gel that was discontinued. UNTIL NOW!
My first thought was that this is a cream and (just like the others) it will only make my hair limp, too soft and I'll probably have to use half a can of hairspray to get my hair to have any body. Well, I was pleasantly surprised. Beach Bomb smells great (not overwhelming) and works like a charm.
