I was really happy with the palette since the colors are very neutral but have a variety of shades to play with. I looked at other matte palettes since I only shimmery eye shadows at home. I had my doubts when I first applied it and thought I would have to apply a lot before I can see the color. Wrong. It looked beautifully and I instantly fell in love with it. If you're considering a good neutral palette, I would definitely purchase Stila's In the Know.

This is a great palette, all of the shadows apply evenly and smooth, and are long lasting. The only complant i have is about the eyeliner, it is not soft and applys a bit patchy, though it could just be the one i got as the cap was off of it when i opened the box...

I was not sure these colors would work on my fair skin, but after reading reviews I gave it a go and I'm so glad I did. Stila has some of the best eyeshadows on the market today, and with the palettes you get a lot for your money. Don't forget the eyeliner that it comes with which is also great. Blends easily and lasts all day. Highly recommend! My only suggestion would be another palette with cool toned neutrals because this palette is fairly warm.

I looked at a lot of sets at Ulta and it seemed like everyone had glitter in it.. I didn't want it! I ran into this one and it had a great natural set of colors that I can use everyday. The eye liner is a grayish color but it works really well with the colors in the palette. I use UD's eye shadow primer and the shadow lasts all day. Love it.

Wonderful colors to create numerous looks. Very geneous sized mirror. Bonus smudge stick & look cards are really nice. I've not had any problems with fallout or creasing so far.
I was concerned the red/terracotta color would be too intense for me. I'm a fair skinned mature woman but it rocks when worn with the other palette colors.
This is my first Stila purchase. I find this palette to be high quality & will consider other Stila products in the future.
I took off 1 star due to the fact that I think the packaging could be improved. I'm not a major fan of cardboard packaging. Granted it is heavy high quality cardboard in a prety color with a nice saying but it's still cardboard.

This eye shadow palette is great! It has everything you need. Highlighter shades, great mid-tones for fair skin, natural colors for your everyday work looks and darker colors to create that smokey eye. If I could only take one palette on a trip, it would be this. All the colors are so blend-able, so it makes it very easy to mix and match. All the colors are matte, which I really like. If you are looking for mixing in some shimmer, I would recommend the "in the garden" palette and I mix and match those colors all the time. These colors can be worn dry or wet for more pigment.
